Here's a great review about the upcoming release, Bad God's Tower, written by the owner of Keeka Productions, Erica Summers
BAD GOD'S TOWER by Erica Summers is everything I hoped for after reading the synopsis.
It follows our two protagonists Chester Craven and Eugene Dempsy two low life hardened criminals locked up in a small Wyoming town. They hatch a violent and bloody escape from the jail in the hope's of making it big after being told of Bad Gods Tower and the riches that await them by Sioux Indian who was also incarcerated.
Chester and Eugene finally face freedom and make there way across the barren landscape to Bad Gods Tower leaving a wake of death and destruction wherever they rest along the way. Two Corporals learn of the escape and track the pair as they reach their destination.
We read some good old fashioned western shootouts between the warring parties before they realise they are not the only ones at Bad Gods Tower and something is protecting it and its boundless riches from being plundered. Nothing short of absolute chaos and terror ensue as everyone fights for their lives from the hideous creatures coming out from the darkness.
This was engrossing from start to finish and Erica's dialogue especially of Chester with his drawl on his words and interplay with Eugene had me vividly picturing his character and the type of man he is. The descriptions of the landscape, the men and the violence had me transported to that world as it reads like a movie script with its fast pace, character development and chaotic moments of violence and gore.
The creatures are seriously absolutely terrifying and unique. They are nothing I have heard of before however how they are so detailed and how there actions are relayed to the reader leaves nothing to the imagination. They are something of nightmares and I soon won't forget them.
This deserves the 5 stars and not because it's from an indie author and leeway could sometimes be given because it's not. This is that good of a story. The western elements are superb and the horror is blended so fluidly to the plot it left me wanting to read everything this author has written. I have already brought some of her other novellas and can't wait to get to them given how much I enjoyed this.
This is released on July 1st 2023 in ebook, paperback and hardcover and will also be on Kindle Unlimited. I emplore you to please check it out you wont be sorry.
