We begin with parent toddlers classes all the way through a busy adult program. We are a non competition studio that believes that dance is still an art form. As we begin our school year this post is a great reminder to dancers & families

Ballet students regularly spend one to three (even four) years at the same class level before moving on. This is 100% normal, and we dance teachers do not expect dancers to spend only one year in a level. There are numerous concepts and vocabulary steps that dancers need to master within each level. Allow students the time to work through them and grow!

Our Story

DanzArts offers dance and theater classes for all ages. We begin with 3 yr creative movement classes all the way through a busy adult program. We are a non competition studio that believes that dance is still an art form. Check out our full schedule of classes including: ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, tap, musical theater and hip hop, Flamenco at www.desmoinesdanzartstudio.com. We offer an optional spring recital at the end of our school year at the beautiful Hoyt Sherman Place.

DanzArts is also home to many other movement/arts groups including Brazilian Capoeira, Japanese Taiko drums and Kendo. If you are curious about these groups or becoming a renter your self please contact our office at: [email protected]. The saddest thing we can think of is an empty studio.
