Filet of Soul Restaurant is a concept that stemmed from Lisa and Traci Morris’ love of food, culture, and faith. Lisa’s restaurant success first began over 20 years ago when she opened Kwanzaa, an international soul food restaurant in New York’s trendy SoHo district. Lisa’s take on soul food brought the likes of celebrities such as Wesley Snipes, St

evie Wonder, Ruby Dee, and Dick Clark. After tremendous success in NYC, the Downingtown, PA native decided to come back to her roots and bring some international soul to her home town; hence Filet of Soul was born. This BYO restaurant that offers live Jazz on the weekends, features classic Caribbean and Southern American Soul Food dishes that have incredibly rich, unique, and robust flavors.

We are back!!

You are cordially invited to join us this Sunday evening for the “Melton Pot”- an exclusive garden party fundraiser hosted by Filet of Soul in the Melton Center’s newly renovated outdoor patio!!!!

FOSCI and Melton Center staff have been working tirelessly with community volunteers on the outdoor beautification of the Melton Center, which was made possible by our generous donors! We are so excited for the community to finally enjoy our beautiful patio garden!

Get your tickets now for a wonderful night of food, atmosphere, music, and more food! Seating is limited!!

$100 per person for Chef’s 6-Course Tasting Menu, which includes a selection of authentic, handcrafted, Caribbean, Soul and BBQ, fare.

We’re back for curbside pickup this Friday 4pm-6pm and Saturday 4pm-8pm! ALSO, this Friday (6/26) the Borough of West Chester, Charles A. Melton Arts and Education Center, and Trinity AG (West Chester PA) are hosting a DRIVE IN MOVIE NIGHT at the Melton Center! Filet of Soul will be offering a special family friendly movie night menu EXCLUSIVE for movie night ticket purchasers, which you can check out here https://fosci-llc.square.site/. Only 75 cars will be able to buy a ticket, so purchase your movie night ticket NOW by emailing [email protected] THEN go place your order online from the special family friendly movie night menu before THURSDAY AT MIDNIGHT! On Friday our regular takeout menu will only be available for pickup between 4pm and 6pm and the movie night menu will be available for pickup after 7:00pm, but you must purchase your ticket and pre order your meal before Thursday at MIDNIGHT!

Moving forward Filet of Soul will continue to provide curbside takeout options every weekend from our limited menu, which is subject to change.
