Some weddings test the plan. This one tested everything.
An entire wedding built at home. A tented reception taking shape in the middle of torrential rain. Days of setup while the weather had plans of its own.
While the weather may have been out of my control — the experience I promised my couple wasn’t.
So we kept building. Kept adjusting. Kept finding a way. Because my couples don’t need to know every problem happening behind the scenes. They just need to know that when the moment comes, it will feel exactly the way they imagined it.
And it did.
By the time their guests walked into that backyard, the storm was no longer the story. The wedding was.
Every detail came together exactly as it was meant to — layers of color, overflowing florals, candlelight, custom details and a tent completely transformed into a celebration that felt anything but temporary.
And then came the best part: watching my couple actually live in it. They danced, they laughed, they celebrated — and had the kind of night where you could tell they weren’t thinking about a single thing except how much fun they were having.
That’s what all the work behind the scenes is for.
