To give your mums the best shot at making it through the fall, be sure to soak the entire pot in water for 15 minutes before adding them to your porch display. This allows water to fully saturate the rootball. Then be sure to water your mums periodically by nestling the hose or watering can down to the soil level. Avoid watering overhead as soggy flowers wilt quicker.

We had a great evening on Tuesday for planting countertop herb gardens! A short demo and attendees were off to get their hands (a little) dirty making chic but useful plantings for their kitchens or patios.
