A great event comes together when local businesses collaborate!
We loved partnering with HOST Wenatchee, NCW Event Rentals, and Columbia Grazing to create a memorable evening featuring some of the best flavors our region has to offer.
From fresh CMI apples to seasonal favorites like pears and strawberries, we enjoy highlighting the incredible fruit grown right here in North Central Washington. Paired with our locally produced meats from Cured including herb-roasted pork loin, buckboard bacon, and finocchiona salami, the menu celebrated the abundance of our region from start to finish.
And for dessert, guests enjoyed our house-made salted caramel gelato, the perfect sweet ending to an evening of local flavors.
Thank you to everyone who helped bring this event to life. We love showcasing the incredible farms, producers, and businesses that make our community so special. 🍎🍐🍓🍨

Some made us smile.

And a few stayed with us long after we finished reading.

This year’s Meals with Meaning winner is someone who didn’t just go above and beyond once… she built an entire culture of care around her students.

Congratulations to ⭐Jenni Bunkelman⭐ of Icicle River Middle School!

Through countless acts of kindness, generosity, and dedication, Jenni has created a space where every student feels seen, supported, and valued. From organizing school-wide events and assemblies, to quietly providing clothing, food, and hygiene items to students in need, to making sure every child had a gift to take home during the holidays… her impact is both deeply personal and incredibly far-reaching.

What stood out most was not just what she does, but how consistently she shows up. Day after day, she creates joy, builds confidence, and removes barriers so students can simply be kids.

It’s clear that Jenni doesn’t do this work for recognition.
But it’s exactly why she deserves it.

Thank you, Jenni, for everything you give to your students and your school community. We are honored to celebrate you!

We’ve spent the last several days reading through hundreds of Meals with Meaning nominations… and wow.

The stories, the heart, the impact behind each submission has been nothing short of incredible. There are so many educators, staff members, and schools in our community going above and beyond in ways that truly matter.

We’re officially in the final stages of selecting this year’s winner, and it’s not an easy decision.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to share these powerful stories. We see you, and we are so grateful for the work being done every single day in our schools.

Another great event at the LocalTel Event Center at Pybus.

We love collaborating with amazing local partners to create something special. We brought the charcuterie, fresh salad, pasta, desserts, and drinks while Fire handled the pizza (always a crowd favorite) and Owen Barnhart set the tone with live music all evening!

Great food, great music, and great community.

It doesn’t get much better than that. Looking forward to the next one!
