We usually keep our personal lives separate from this page, but today feels different.
We were honored to be part of the Elkland Jubilee Parade again this year, just as we were last year. Since then, I lost the most important woman in my life back in Aprilโmy rock, my biggest cheerleader, and the first person I called with good news, bad days, or even the little questions life brings.
Last year, she was the star passenger in our stagecoach alongside my Uncle David and cousin Wyatt. I was so focused on making sure the horses and coach were just right that I never stopped to take a photo.
If there is one thing this year has taught me, it is this: slow down, tell your loved ones how much they mean to you, and take the picture. By the next parade, life may look very different.
Thank you, Elkland, for welcoming us back to the Jubilee Parade this year. We are grateful to share these moments with such a wonderful community.
