We are excited to find out who the winner will be of the raffle basket we donated, which includes a 6-hour Sunday rental, Hitching Post t-shirts, and other exciting prizes. The drawing will be held this evening during the Firelands vs. Vermilion Football game halftime. Proceeds will go towards supporting a Firelands Senior fighting leukemia.

Unfortunately, we’ve had several fake accounts attempting to take advantage of our event and the cause we are supporting. Please know that the ONLY official contacts for vendor registration are The Hitching Post directly or .

If you see other accounts commenting or messaging about vendor spots, they are not legitimate. We are forced to delete and block 3–4 of these scams every day, and while it’s frustrating, we want to make sure our vendors and community are protected.

The Hitching Post is about bringing people together and supporting a local family during a difficult time — not dealing with scams and chaos.

We appreciate everyone’s support and ask that you remain cautious by only communicating through our official contacts.

We took a little break from the front of the property and spent some time back in our beautiful woods, working on our youngest daughter’s special little getaway spot — nothing better than family time in the peace and quiet of the trees.A goal of ours is to create additional spaces for guests to stay in the woods, so more people can experience this peaceful escape!

This year, we are proud to dedicate our festival to a very special cause — supporting a Firelands High School Senior who is bravely battling leukemia. 💛 All ticket sales will go directly to help provide support during this difficult time.

Update on our biggest wedding yet! It was a success!!! Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves throughout the property. The kids played and ran all over the yard as the adults sat on benches around the large pond, while others danced inside the barn. Some made their way down “Lover’s Lane” to see the horses. It is such an amazing feeling and a huge blessing to see when one of the biggest leaps of faith you’ve ever made is producing so much joy in the lives of others.
