Every year I like to provide some of my favorite products and services that I’ve discovered. This year there are many, but I’ve narrowed it down to my top 3.
‌
Ila Wellness Products
I discovered their products while traveling and immediately fell in love. The company is based in the UK and is known for its "organic, hand-blended skincare and wellness products that use ingredients sourced globally and are created with a focus on Ayurvedic traditions and holistic well-being". My favorites are their face mask for glowing radiance, glowing radiance aroma roller and body oil for inner peace. And their beyond organic body wash is a must for the shower.

Elemis Skincare
So, yes, there is a theme - skincare and it’s something I obesses over.
On a recent trip to the Bahamas I had a facial and they used Elemis products. I was amazed how healthy my skin looked and felt after. I would have bought all the products, but they aren’t inexpensive so I chose the Pro-Collagen Future Restore Serum and I love it. These products are all plant based.

Dyson Nural Hair Dryer
If you have one you know what I’m talking about. I almost feel like I went to the salon and had a professional blowout. It has several attachments, heat settings and is one solid machine - your hair will never look the same.

Amazon Grocery
Ok, this one is my guilty pleasure because I do try to shop local, but this year Amazon Grocery has saved me a few times, especially after one of our multi-day celebrations when the last place I want to go is the grocery store.

A lot of couples think wedding design is mostly about how things look in photos. But what really matters is how the day moves.

Similar to the celebrations we help bring to life, traditions are an important part my holiday season.
Most of the traditions we have started organically, but are now an important part of our celebration.

It starts with Thanksgiving. We host a small group every year. My mom, significant others, Bill's family and sometimes siblings. Over the years, the group has gotten smaller, but I have been intentional in keeping the traditions. I set the table the day before, selecting a new design every year, incorporating special turkey plates I found at Pottery Barn. My favorite part is playing my Thanksgiving playlist really loud as I create the design.

On Thanksgiving, there is the exchanging of gifts, stuffed celery appetizer and usually you can find the egg nog. At some point, before we eat, you'll hear Alice's Restaurant - all 18 minutes.

Since my husband and I have been together (and it's been a long time), we have spent Christmas with my dad in Florida. Mostly in South Florida, but now we find ourselves on the West Coast of the state in Naples. It's our time to recharge and soak in the warm weather. We spend a lot of time there, so it really is a big break from reality.

Over the last several years, Christmas Eve has emerged as our night of celebration. A large dinner followed by Christmas music and opening of gifts. Christmas day we spend together watching movies and most likely enjoying leftovers with a glass of bubbly. It's pure cozy comfort that I am always grateful for.

In every part of our lives, traditions are important and offer a feeling of safety and serenity. They may change and evolve over the years, but they are still the fabric that keep us connected.
