How to put on your rings at the altar

Traditionally the engagement ring and wedding band are worn on the left ring finger, with the wedding band being placed closest to your heart. As a wedding planner, I often get asked about how to handle the rings at the altar. Here are three options:
1. The bride moves the engagement ring to another finger or hand before the ceremony
2. Have the engagement ring held separately or already have the bands welded together
3. The bride leaves the engagement ring on and temporarily place the wedding band on top at the ceremony

There really is no right or wrong way, chooses whatever is the most comfortable or is the easiest for you.

Today’s post is all about intentionally spending time with each other on your wedding day! The day goes by so quickly and before you know it you are leaving the reception!

We always try to build in time for just the two of you in the timeline! And I am not talking about couple pictures! I mean quiet, uninterrupted moments, where you can step away from the excitement and all the nerves and actually be together!

So when you are building your timeline, make sure there is space for only the two of you.
