I want to give a huge Thank you today to one of our regular sponsors at The Peach! CMH Steak It, the food truck regularly parked in the Gibsons parking lot on South Main, was there every Tuesday night without fail. If you haven’t tried what she’s got cooking in that little food truck, you are missing out! It’s amazing! Thank you, gal for all of your support. ❤️🍑

I’ve been deeply touched by the outpouring of love, support, and concern following the sudden closure of The Peach on North Main. It means a lot to see how many people valued what we created together, a place for creativity, collaboration, and real community connection. When I set out to create the Peach, this is what I had in mind, so I consider all your messages a sign that we accomplished our goal. Thank you.

I also want to apologize to anyone who was inconvenienced by how quickly this all happened. It’s sad for everyone who loved The Peach and all that it stood for. Downtown Weatherford, Inc was within its legal right to terminate the sublease, and I don’t place blame there.

It’s hard not to think about how much good was happening inside those walls. So many local nonprofits benefited, including Parker County Center of Hope, DWINC, Second Star Theatre Co., and the Parker County Committee on Aging - Meals on Wheels and The Senior Center So many local musicians and artists found a welcoming space and an audience that truly cared.

I had really hoped we could find a win-win path forward between The Peach and Downtown Weatherford, Inc., one that balanced community benefit with downtown development goals. While that didn’t come together this time, the relationships, momentum, and creative energy that grew out of The Peach aren’t going anywhere. We’ll carry that same spirit into whatever comes next, and I wish the best to the theater, DWINC, and all the artists and businesses who have called The Peach home.

🍑 A Note from The Peach on North Main

Unfortunately for our little community music hub, The Peach on North Main had to close the doors last week, earlier than planned. There will no longer be any public or private events at 113 North Main affiliated with The Peach on North Main. However, I encourage everyone to check out and support Second Star Theatre Co. who will be bringing more of their own creative energy to that space!

What remains very much alive is the spirit of The Peach! The music, the laughter, the countless nights shared with friends, and the incredible community that grew around it. From karaoke and game nights to weddings, celebrations, networking and unforgettable performances by talented musicians and songwriters, and the comraderie among them. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who played, sang, danced, and supported local music and small business. We built something special together. 🧡

Please continue to show up for your local musicians and small venues. And remember, venues can apply individually for the benefits of Weatherford being certified as a Texas Music Friendly City, bringing more opportunities for artists, music lovers and venues. Venue owners and event hosts, do your homework to learn what you might be missing out on!

I just want to give a huge thank you to the person out there somewhere who made the big donation to the Peach on Open Mic Night a couple of weeks ago! I think I know who you are but the fact that I’m not certain makes it that much more special. You are all special to me and I’ve come to love you like family! I will never tire of hearing the music you all make! 🎶❤️🍑
