Due to many events we will not be able to attend this year’s walk…we will hate that we will miss our friends but next year we will plan better.

It’s that time of the year again when we get to link up with our friends and show off how awesome we are!!! Any donation helps anybody thats a member whether it’s when they are in the hospital or if something unexpected happens.

A little over 6 years ago today I got that dreaded phone call. The one moms don't want to get. The phone call that my baby boy has something "wrong" with him. The phone call that made me fall to the ground in a flood of tears. I couldn't understand. "Why me?" What did I do wrong for this to happen?....

Wanted to update everyone that Ethan is loving being home…he is back on his feet but a little shaky…he was having a hard time drinking in the hospital but now he has the ice maker working overtime just for him…LoL…it’s amazing to see his smile again.

Thank you for everyone that prayed for Ethan and for him to come home again.

FRIDAY UPDATE ON ETHAN…we didn’t get to come home but we are so close…Ethan is back and full of himself…we are ready to have him home too.

THURSDAY UPDATE ON ETHAN…Little Dude is back!!! He is getting out of bed and letting everyone know he ain’t playing no more…if all goes well…WE GET TO COME HOME TOMORROW!!! We couldn’t be more excited about this news!!! God is Amazing!!!

Yall are amazing!!! Thank you for keeping Ethan in your prayers…we are blessed!!!

WEDNESDAY UPDATE ON ETHAN…we have been kicked out of the PICU and this look explains how happy we are to be put out…LoL…we are what we hope is our final stage of being here at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital…still requesting that we move slow on weaning him with the oxygen since it took two extra days to get here.

TUESDAY UPDATE ON ETHAN…our boy is strong and hard headed…I love it because I’m not playing with him and make him work for what he wants…Ethan needs to be working on his core strength and getting back on his feet…the only thing that works right now is his tablet and food to get him to work on these things…other than that we just need to come off of the oxygen and we can move to the next step before leaving the hospital.

MONDAY UPDATE ON ETHAN…we are still in the PICU…had to go up a little on our oxygen today…but Ethan is looking so much better than last week…today we were able to figure out how to get this dude out of bed to do PT…he is super motivated for food and his tablet but still super tired.

Thank you for the continued prayers and we hope that Little Man will be home this weekend…but only if the doctors are sure he can.

SUNDAY ETHAN UPDATE…Ethan seems to be having a good day…he is almost off of the oxygen…he has less machines around his bed now too…so he’s weaning off all of the medication they had to keep giving him…he is eating solid food now and loved having his French fries for supper tonight…we got to do some PT for a bit until he got tired…if all goes well we will be leaving the PICU tomorrow and getting what we hope will be our last room while we are here.

God is good and we are so thankful for the continued prayers!!!

SATURDAY UPDATE…Ethan was sleeping when Dad and I got up to his room…he had a rough night of sleeping…but I know he’s happy to have his tablet with him now and I’m sorry if you are friends with him on monopoly…he’s been robbing me left and right…LoL…when he did get up we did PT with him and I was able to get him to bare weight on his feet…not long but it’s better than yesterday…hopefully we can move out of PICU tomorrow and I will be with him over night since I have an appointment…I’m exhausted from the hospital and ready for our boy to be back home…and he is too!!!
