Black Hawk Folk Society invites you to share this afternoon--Saturday, June 13--with Tapestry, a 5-piece string band whose repertoire includes Americana, bluegrass, folk, Celtic, roots, and more. These musicians bring rich harmonies, vocals, and expertise that spans numerous string instruments. Tapestry String Band members are also gifted with a flexibility and down-to-earth ethos that delight and engage audiences whether in a concert hall, beer garden or winery, or in this case: Mt. Morris Town Park, located at N3847 County Road G on the edge of Mt. Morris. The musicians will take the stage at 2:00, with all invited to an optional potluck kicking off the afternoon at 1:00. To sample Tapestry’s sound, visit https://tapestrystringband.com/listen.
General admission is at the park entrance ($10 for 19 and older; all others free). Black Hawk Folk Society is a 501(c)(3) organization, grateful to sponsors and other donors who help make this and other concerts possible. The park is handicap friendly with restrooms, a covered pavilion, and on-site parking. Looking ahead: Black Hawk Folk Society’s 38th annual day-long music festival will be held Saturday, July 11. Concert-goers are reminded to bring lawn chairs and whatever else needed to enjoy an outdoor event. (Rain site: Mountain View Community Center).
