Many of you know that I health and mindset coach on the side.

But honestly, it’s not really “on the side.” It has become a pretty big part of my life and something I truly love.

And, of course, there’s photography and video. That’s another piece of who I am and what I love. ❤️

(I’ll even share a video of Carrie that I took in Texas two years ago in the comments.)

And this weekend, those two worlds get to come together again.

I’m on my way to Nashville, Tennessee, for a 3-day event with Disruptive Nutrition called From Corset to Crown.

We’ll be talking about the corsets we’ve put around our bodies and minds over the years, the expectations, beliefs, limitations, and stories that have shaped the way we see ourselves.

And then… taking off the corset.

And putting on the crown.

Not because we finally became worthy.

Because we already were.

That message means a lot to me right now. And I’m excited to learn, grow, connect, and also capture some of it through my camera.

Another fun Rock the Block in the books.

Then heading to Nashville Tennessee for a conference for my coaching. As many may know I coach on the side.
The fun part is I will be colliding my two loves. As I will be doing headshots and event photos/video there a well as the coaching team event itself. So It’s going to be an amazing trip.

Years ago, I knew Mom through MOPS, and this weekend I had the honor of photographing her daughter’s elegant wedding day.

So much love surrounded this beautiful couple as they began this next chapter together. I’m so grateful I got to be a part of it. 🤍💍🥂🤍

There’s something so beautiful about a small, intimate wedding. 🤍

Simple, elegant, and so thoughtfully done. Every detail was tasteful and beautiful and even more special knowing Mom was the planner and coordinator behind it all.

The rain came, the rain left, and it gave us the perfect little window to head outside and capture some beautiful moments in a backyard before the ceremony and event space after the ceremony. The lighting was just brilliant and gorgeous!

Such a lovely day and a joy to be a part of the union of these two souls and families. 🤍💍🤍

There is something incredibly special about getting to photograph a family you’ve had the privilege of watching grow over the years. ❤️

I’ve been photographing this family off and on since she was about 4 years old. Long before I was a photographer full-time, I knew them when I was a single mom working at the YMCA drop-in program. I watched these kids grow, watched their personalities unfold, and somehow, all these years later, I’m still getting to capture their story through my camera.

So when I get to photograph a young lady I’ve known since she was little, it feels like so much more than just another photo session. It feels like getting a little glimpse into all the years between then and now.

I get to see the little girl I remember becoming the beautiful, confident young woman she is today and I get to freeze a little piece of this season for her family to hold onto forever.

What an honor it is to be trusted with those memories. And what a gift it is to grow alongside the families I photograph. 📸❤️
