Some people hustle for fame, some hustle for fortune… me? I hustle because of these people right here. My little family right here is my . They are the reason I put in the late nights, early mornings, and every ounce of hustle in between

I’m thankful beyond words for them, and for every single one of you who shows up week after week to support FD Taquitos. You all keep us fired up and cooking nonstop. Every time we think, “This week we’ve got more than enough,” our neighbors, friends, and family prove us wrong and help us sell out again.

We’ll be back at the Wauconda Farmers Market this Thursday 8/14 from 4–7 — but you already know the drill… come early if you want your taquito fix before my family eats them all. See you Thursday!

I’m used to cooking for big crowds, but speaking in front of hundreds was a whole new challenge! I had the honor of being part of a career panel, sharing my journey in the fire service with high school students who are preparing to take their next steps in life.

Being a firefighter is my passion—it’s the foundation of everything in my life. Nothing else my family and I have built would be possible had I not found this path. It has shaped who I am and given me the opportunity to serve in more ways than one.

What an incredible experience to stand alongside scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs—each of us bringing a different path and perspective to inspire the next generation. It was truly humbling to share my story and, hopefully, spark something in these young minds as they consider their own futures.

We celebrated Valentine’s Day a little early this year since I’ll be on shift tomorrow. While most couples exchange chocolate and flowers, my wife—being the creative force she is—decided to surprise me with something even better… a brand-new line of FD Taquitos Firehouse Apparel!

This Taquito Station Wear is inspired by classic fire station shirts but with a full FD Taquitos twist—featuring our signature sugar skull logo and our slogan: Saving You from Hunger!

Selling merch has never been our main focus, but every time we drop a new design, you guys eat it up just like our taquitos! So, if you want to lock in your pre-order, hit us up now!

‼️Appreciation post alert!!‼️
Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it when it comes to Kris from . Not only does his meal prep company help keep my nutrition on track as a firefighter, soon-to-be father of four, and someone constantly on the go, but as a retired competitive bodybuilder, I truly appreciate how his meals take the guesswork out of macros, making it easier than ever to stay dialed in.

Beyond that, FD Taquitos wouldn’t be what it is today without Kris. He literally opened his kitchen doors to us, giving us the space and support we needed to take our dream from an idea to a reality. His guidance has been invaluable, and we’re beyond thankful for his belief in us from day one.

I couldn’t have been more proud and excited running into my taquito-slinging protégé, , in his other role as a firefighter/EMT. From hustling in the kitchen to serving the community on emergency calls, he’s a true workhorse, and I’m beyond grateful to have him on the FD Taquitos team.
