Santa Cruz hosts the quintessential county fair and horse show. The Fair embraces technology, social media, updated buildings and systems and all are used to support an old fashion country fair. Connecting youth with their sources of food and fiber remains a focus of the Fair and that is reflected in strong Ag Hort, Youth, Livestock and Horse Show departments. The learning is wrapped in several la

yers of fun including a full carnival and grounds packed with free stage and roving entertainment. Adults will find that evenings bring out great entertainment on the main Amphitheater Stage.

TopKnotch Security is interviewing for Parking Team Members:

-When: Monday, September 8th
Noon-4pm
-Where: Santa Cruz County Fair Main Office
2601 East Lake Avenue, Watsonville

Applicants can pick up an application at the Fair Office now through Monday the 8th, 9am-5pm. The office IS open over the weekend.

Applicants must be 18 years old. Must bring ID and references.
Job duties include parking lot control, traffic direction and operations.
Payrate is $18/hour

📢 Contest Entry Update – Apple Pie Baking Contest (Santa Cruz County Fair)

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who entered our 2025 Apple Pie Baking Contest presented by the Santa Cruz County Farm Bureau! Your enthusiasm and delicious creations made this year’s contest a tremendous success.

Please note: The deadline for submitting your entry form is TODAY, Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Enter online at https://santacruz.fairwire.com/ or drop your form off at the fair office. No further submissions can be accepted after today.

What’s next?
The contest will take place on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, with pies to be delivered to Paddy Smith Park between 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Awards include prizes for first, second, and third places in the Youth, Adult, and Masters divisions, plus a “Best of Show” award.

We can’t wait to taste your amazing pie creations—and may the best pie win! Stay tuned for updates during the fair. 🍏 Santa Cruz County Farm Bureau
