It's been awhile and we have a ton of new followers - so it's time for a welcoming post! ✨
I'm Katie, owner and photographer of Photos by Katie. I started this journey thinking it would be a part time fun escape. But it has since became my entire life. I've always loved photography and being behind the camera. It's amazing to reflect on where I started to where I'm at now. 🥺
I'm blessed to have clients that continue to follow and trust me. 💕 I'm blessed for a community of support and love. I'm truly so blessed to have this fun and eventful full time gig. Being able to capture your special, intimate, most precious moments is just a dream come true.
When I started asking questions trying to get into photography I was met with a ton of ghosting, fake help and plain out rudeness. The competition in this field can be overwhelming. Tracy Parker was the only one at the time that answered my questions and was truly a guiding light. That is something I personally will never forget. So, since I've created my own empire. I now inspire to help other photographers and be a safe place for new and confusing questions. I will give you appropriate and honest feedback. Although, there is still a lot of hate, cliques and competition in this industry. I want to be the person that you will also remember that helped you. I'm always a message away and I do offer Mentorship Classes, for those needing help with starting your photography. Every year I also offer Content Days which is something I've learned to love planning and hosting. So, if you're a fellow photographer friend stay tuned on those as well!
Outside of Photos by Katie I'm really laid back and trying to enjoy my time around the sun. I try to stay active in the gym, I love every genre of music, I enjoy audiobooks, horseback riding, I love shopping, and anything revolving the lake or the ocean - I'm there. I spend majority of my time with my family and trying to enjoy the little moments of life. 🫶🏼
