took the design lead on this weekends wedding and did an AMAZING job!

This morning when I woke up I decided it was going to be a GREAT day. We had a few heavy days this week and I was determined that today was going to be all fun and shenanigans.

We worked so HARD today between wedding designs, event work, lots and lots of wrapped flowers for senior night celebrations and for homecoming so we snuck in a little extra fun and laughter when we could.

P. S. This is me saying vodka and yes we did close out the week with delicious drinks and some tater tots from our neighbors

These girls of mine don’t get paid nearly enough for how hard they work and I’m grateful for them all and there’s nowhere else I’d want to spend a day than with this crazy crew.

Tomorrow is going to be a busy one! There’s so much happening in town and we are excited to see everyone out and about.

I looked for an inspirational quote to use in this post, but none spoke to me, some felt dismissive, others felt unrealistic so I’ll do this one with all of my own words and thoughts 🧡

I’ve seen my peers step up just since yesterday when the announcement that snap benefits would not be issued in November.

I’ve read their posts, I’ve cried, I’ve felt tremendous pride because I know how hard these people work, I know their concerns, I know every single one of them has fear in the back of their minds about their own future, but they immediately jumped into action. Offering help, food, a donation drop off spot and I’m so grateful to know them and to be in their orbit.

Small businesses are the backbone of a community, they dive in, they volunteer l, they donate and their owners are fixers and action takers.

Shyanne has been collecting donations of warm clothing and blankets for our unhoused population and The Nest and Pattersons Store in Burnham are both drop off locations. Shy has done this for several years and she also puts together bags containing hand warmers, toiletries, sock, hats, gloves and more and if you’d like to donate financially or have some items to donate please reach out to us.

The Nest in Belgrade has been collecting food to donate to The North Belgrade Food Pantry and we’d like to step up this effort. Please consider donating food at either Nest location, or to the food pantry directly, or to Second Life in Belgrade who always has a community cupboard filled with food and other necessities available for anyone in need.

Let’s do this thing, let’s prove that community comes first and that the hardest times often reveals the best in people. 🧡🧡🧡
