UPDATE:
The two buntings have been returned! They were turned into City Hall this morning. We will be working on getting them repaired and put back up. We have an amazing community. Thank you!

The Watertown, MN Festivals & Events are disappointed to share that two of the patriotic buntings displayed on the Watertown bridge have been taken.

These decorations, along with the lights on the bridge, were made possible through a generous donation from American Legion Post 121 and a partnership with Watertown Festivals & Events. They were placed on the bridge to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and to add a special touch to our community through Rails to Trails.

A lot of generosity, time, and community spirit went into making this display possible. If the buntings were removed as a prank or misunderstanding, we simply ask that they be returned to City Hall — no questions asked - so everyone can continue to enjoy them.

These decorations were a gift to our community. Please help us keep Watertown beautiful and take pride in the spaces we all share. 🇺🇸

🎶 Live music tonight! 🎵 The Delano Community Band will be at the community center at 6:30. Bring a lawn chair and grab some food and beverages from the Lions! 🤩 🎉

🇺🇸 A huge thank you to Watertown American Legion Post 121 for their generous donation and partnership in helping light up and decorate the bridge and City Center Park as we celebrate the 250th Anniversary of our Nation.

We'd also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the City of Watertown - City Government Public Works team for all of their hard work bringing this vision to life. Your time, effort, and dedication are helping make our community shine.
