A beautiful day to be at the Clayton Opera House! 💍

06/24/2026

Sarah here, owner and operator of Lovely Day Event Services!

Almost four years ago, after welcoming my daughter, I took a step back from event coordinating. This past weekend marked one of my first weddings since she was born, and it was the perfect reminder of why I love doing what I do so much!

Nancy and Chris' wedding at the Clayton Opera House was the perfect mix of love, family and fun (emphasis on the word fun...what a FUN group of people!).

Because I was busy the entire day, I only got the chance to snap a couple of photos, but wanted to thank the following for being so great to work with:

🍽️
💒Clayton Opera House
🌸Allen's Florist and Pottery Shop
🎶Johnny Spezzano
🥂
🍰 EuropeCakes

And of course, thank you to the newlyweds, Nancy and Chris for making me part of their big day.

Can't wait for the next one!

✨ So… what does a Day-Of Coordinator actually do?

Short answer: We make sure you don’t have to answer a single logistical question in your wedding dress. 💍

Long answer:

📋 Create a detailed wedding day timeline (and make sure everyone actually follows it)

📞 Be the go-to person for vendors — no one’s calling you about missing boutonnières

🚚 Manage deliveries, setup, and breakdown

👰 Line up the wedding party for the ceremony (and track down that one groomsman)

🎶 Cue the music + coordinate the processional

💐 Pin boutonnières and fluff dresses

🎂 Make sure you actually get a slice of your own cake

📸 Keep photos on schedule without making it feel rushed

🪑 Oversee seating, place cards, guest questions, and last-minute changes

🌧 Handle weather pivots, timeline hiccups, and surprise chaos with a calm smile

🥂 Make sure you eat, hydrate, and soak it all in

Basically?

You get to be fully present.
Your mom doesn’t have to run the show.
Your best friend isn’t sweating in heels.
And your wedding flows beautifully from “I do” to last dance. ✨

That’s the magic of Lovely Day Event Services...and a Day-Of Coordinator.
