remember the first time I met Jenny. We were at a sacred circle event. She didn’t know anyone, and instantly, she became everyone’s friend. Through the years, I’ve seen this woman show up for her community, show up for her family, and show up for herself, crafting a life filled with love, joy, and purpose. Always growing into the best version of herself. Showing up and being a light every time she walks into a room.

I’ve been deep in the editing zone lately, wrapping up all the photo projects from October and a few from September. It’s been such a fun senior season! Today I’m sharing a few throwback images, but soon I’ll be posting some of the recent senior sessions, from a dirt bike shoot to a race car driver, a musician, and some beach vibe sessions. I was everywhere this year!

As I finish up the Class of 2026, I’m already brainstorming ideas for the Class of 2027. Too soon? Nahhh… I don’t think so!

I just listened to The Morning Jam with Jenn this morning and loved hearing my friend, Anita Prather Harvell, share her heart and wisdom.

One of my favorite takeaways was how she talked about structure and boundaries, how they create balance and set you up for success. Clarity brings confidence, and Anita is always five steps ahead, making the most of her time. That’s her secret sauce!

She also shared beautiful advice for other women: Be fearless. Pop yourself into something that lights you up. Be your authentic self. Don’t suppress who you are, that’s where connection and creativity truly come alive.

As a city girl like me, Anita knows the power of showing up fully and bringing that energy into community and collaboration. She’s passionate about inviting more voices to the table with the North Country Arts Council so if art and music light you up, reach out and get involved!

It's Heidi's birthday month so of course I have to share some of her photos! She's celebrating a special birthday this year! Her journey into her 40s, full of honesty, courage, and love is such a reminder of why I created the 40 Over 40 Portrait Experience. I want women to feel celebrated, seen, held, and honored...right now, in the life they’re living! Not when things calm down, not when it's the "perfect" time, not “someday.” Today!!!!!!!!!!

So as we step into November, I’m carrying Heidi’s words with me. Celebrate yourself. Take the photo. Live your life out loud. And cherish the fact that we’re still here to experience another year, another birthday, another moment.

Here’s to the women who made us who we are. Here’s to the women still becoming. And here’s to Heidi… letting us start this month with a story full of love, truth, and a little fire. Love you queen!

🔟 years ago, I signed a lease at the Masonic Temple to grow my photography business. I took a leap of faith, trusting myself to create from the heart. I wanted to capture portraits that would help people document memories, showcase their businesses, and feel seen, empowered, comfortable, vulnerable, safe, and guided through a creative portrait experience.

Over the years, I have practiced, succeeded, failed, and grown. I had my son, kept my doors open during COVID with self-portraits to keep my skills sharp, traveled for photography education, and met incredible photographers and business owners from around the world. Today I realize that dreams do come true. With a little trust in yourself and your abilities, anything is possible.

🩷🥰Thank you to everyone who has let me capture your photos through the years. Today, I celebrate my birthday and my studio’s 10-year anniversary. It’s nostalgic. I have so much more to say, but I realize I don’t have to say it all today. I can sprinkle it throughout the rest of the year, reflecting on all the magic I have created in collaboration with clients, friends, colleagues, and businesses. I look forward to growth and new things to come this year and in 2026.

The first thing I saw when I opened social media today was my girl Heidi’s new profile photo (this photo.) I had to share the photo too and share my excitement for her latest photos from her recent session!!! The session was 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Amazing wardrobe, styling, all the things. I’m going to let Heidi share the magic first! So you have to wait. But for now, we get to enjoy the witchy vibes from this photo.

Today’s my other half’s birthday, Ken’s day! For his birthday, I gave him one of his favorite gifts: time. I took the day off from the studio to spend it with him at home, making him delicious coffee and lunch. Kiddo and I even decorated the French press with homemade cards. We’ve got more fun planned once kiddo’s out of school!
Over the past few years, we’ve really grown to appreciate our time together and value each moment. Someone once told me, “Never stop dating your spouse.” So today is my date day with my honey, Ken.
Ken’s birthday post gets to be shared with one of his favorite photos from his session for Tunes Ninetytwofive. As the Program Director for the station and host of Kickin’ Back with Ken, we created a whole series of images that captured him in his element, doing what he does best, working his magic with music and connection!!!
If you need me, I’ll be back in action tomorrow! I’m now booking holiday sessions and discovery calls for session planning! Plus, stay tuned for this week’s studio anniversary specials!
