I think this season will be my last season of doing pictures for people. I have a couple more sessions planned and then I think I will be done.

It's been fun and I've learned a lot. I no longer have my assistant/editor/protege and to be honest it just isn't as much fun without her.

So thank you to everyone whom I had the opportunity to photograph and/or work with.

There will still be a few posts coming up from the sessions and I will probably still do scenic pics from time to time, gas prices permitting, so I will not be shutting down my page any time soon.

Thank you for looking.

Just as Worhal had his own distinct style i think I've finally found my own. I really love the color burn. It makes me imagine scenery on some other world or dimension where the things that are so familiar here take on different hues.

I don't do it anymore but I used to write short stories. It has been a long time since the last one but still every now and then I get the urge to write. This time I wanted to tell a story with photos instead of written words. The inspiration for this came from a music video that I found a couple years back. The song was by Mazzy Star and was called Into Dust. The song is beautiful and sad and made even more beautiful by the incredible singing voice of the vocalist, Hope Sandoval. I strongly encourage you to listen to the song. Unfortunately the video was not an official video and is now gone. But that video inspired me to do a series of photos telling my own story. Initially my own daughter was going to be the person in my photos for this project. Because of this and of how beautiful and moving the song is I can no longer listen to it even though it echos in my head. But I still wanted to do the project. So many thanks go to Halley Marko and Meghan Brink who are my friends and the two who volunteered to indulge my creative impulse. I am incredibly grateful to you both.
