Couples, it's time to start planning your wedding invitations! The general rule of thumb is to send them out 6 to 8 weeks before your big day. This gives your guests plenty of time to mark your date on their calendars and make travel arrangements. However, there are a few factors to consider when determining the best time to send out your invitations, such as the location of your wedding and whether or not you're having a destination wedding. For destination weddings, you may want to send out your invitations 10 to 12 weeks in advance. And if you have a lot of guests who live out of town, you may want to consider sending them out even earlier. No matter when you decide to send out your invitations, make sure to give yourself plenty of time to order them and get them printed!
TL;DR
Invitations: 6-8 weeks before the wedding. This gives guests enough time to RSVP and make travel arrangements.
Destination weddings: 3 months before the wedding. This gives guests even more time to plan their travel and accommodations.
Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule. For example, if you have a lot of international guests, you may want to send out your invitations earlier. Or, if you're having a very small wedding, you may be able to get away with sending out your invitations closer to the date.
The most important thing is to give your guests enough time to RSVP and make travel arrangements. So, plan ahead and send out your wedding invitations well in advance!
