During the recent heatwave, this farmer found a simple way to protect his cows. He stacked hay bales into pillars and stretched a large green tarp across them, creating a shaded space big enough for the herd.

The cows now gather there to cool down and rest, safe from the strong sun. It’s a straightforward idea, but it shows how practical and effective a little creativity can be on the farm.
