Changes to the Severe Thunderstorm Watch: we have added more counties in western PA, and cancelled the watch for some counties in eastern Ohio. Damaging wind remains the primary threat, but a brief tornado or two remain possible. Remain alert for additional warnings!

Last night 4 of our firefighters along with 2 firefighters from Morris Township VFD were presented with Heroism Awards. These awards were presented by the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association and South Franklin VFD to these 6 firefighters for their life saving actions on an emergency call.

These firefighters were working a very large brush fire, when they heard that a firefighter was down. That firefighter went into Cardiac Arrest. Because of these 6 men, that firefighter is alive and was able to stand by them last night, celebrating his recovery!

This goes to show CPR works!

We’d like to thank Pennsylvania American Water and the Firefighter support grant. We received this grant and were able to purchase new battery operated scene lights! These lights will provide more portable and brighter lighting.
