THE HELLEBUSCH FAMILY | new home

Some sessions just feel a little extra special. 🤎

Tonight, I drove out to the Hellebusch family’s new home, and I’m not sure I could ever do the view justice with words. Rolling Missouri hills, the most beautiful landscape, and a drive that reminded me just how much beauty we have right here at home. They’ve been in their dream home for only a few weeks, and getting to document their family here, in this new chapter, was such a sweet full-circle moment.

I’ve had the joy of photographing this family for so many years now. From engagements and weddings to maternity, newborn sessions, and all the family milestones in between, I’ve watched their story unfold one season at a time. I still cannot believe how big Alice + August are getting! They are the most social little babies, always greeting me with hugs + holding my hand.

And now, here we are. A new home. A new chapter. A place where so many more memories will be made.

There’s something so special about getting to photograph the people you’ve known for years in the places that mean the most to them. Not just documenting what life looks like right now, but preserving a little piece of the story that brought them here.

Hellebusch family, thank you for letting me be part of so many chapters of your story. Getting to document this one was an honor. And that view? I think I could have stayed all evening.

THE KODATSKY FAMILY

The kind of evening that reminds me why I love what I do. 🤎

Cooler temps, the first hints of fall color, the prettiest golden hour, and a whole lot of chaos in the best way. 😂 Graham and Cade kept us working for those smiles, but those are always the sessions I love most.

Jordan has become such a special friend to me this year, and getting to photograph her sweet family is something I don’t take for granted. She and Tom are just the kindest people, and I’m so thankful they are in our lives! Evenings like this one in good ole WashMO, are what fall sessions are all about. 🍂

Today I got to meet Andi, Terry, and their precious daughter, Jane. They came to the studio space to photograph their first family portraits as a family of 3, and baby girl slept the entire time! She was fast asleep, happy as could be in either mom or dad's arms. She is the most petite little thing....

THE PEARSON FAMILY

Scraped knees, dad's old tricycle, beaded friendship bracelets, and G... what else would we need for family photos?! Last night was my first time at Faust Park and it was so, so gorgeous! An old barn and greenhouse, fields, and the most perfect golden hour. Did you all see that blazing hot pink sunset last night?! Just wow. I have the best time with the Pearson Family every time, and am forever trying to convince them to take photos every month just so we can have this much fun all the time. (kidding, but not kidding.)

Lainey was my bestie girl last year, but this year she wanted to run the show. 😜 William was just a perfect little baby - I always say "if it isn't chaos, I don't want it!" Bring the kids and the booboos and we will fill in the gaps with laughter and memories that will last forever.

AUGUST | newborn

The BEST Tuesday night spent with the Heeney's.... I always have the best time with Lydia + Kyle (and now their precious baby BOY!) I love getting to visit families homes and chat about all things home decor, faith, family, parenthood, and simply just getting to know them better each time - what a blessing!!

August had a head full of dark long hair, and is the center of mom + dad's world. He slept almost the whole time and was so good for his photos. We even took some photos in their antique bassinet (a DREAM) and you can tell how much he loves it. Congrats, Heeney's!!

MR + MRS MEDLIN | 9.27.26

Another gorgeous wedding today!! What an amazing weekend. Deep in rural MO, I got to photograph Brittani + Ross choosing to spend forever together. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they tied the knot on the top of a hill overlooking the families 2,500 acres of sprawling beauty! We even took a ride to find the perfect spot to take photos before the ceremony, and it was nothing short of perfection. I was in awe of this location, how laid back the day was, the whole family was so warm + welcoming. Congrats, Medlin's!!

BEST. DAY. EVER. Perfect weather, such a fun crew, and the cutest fam "officially" with the same last name. I am over the moon for these two and am so honored to have been a part of not only their wedding day, but for many, many monumental milestones in their lives. Brett + Alexis are some of the kindest people, and I truly have so much love for their family. Here's to forever, Mr. & Mrs. Shaiper!

H A P P Y W E D D I N G D A Y to Alexis + Brett!

This day has been a looong time coming, and I am SO honored to be photographing it today. I met these two many years ago, and although I don't shoot weddings anymore, I couldn't tell them no. 🥹 With that being said, today is my FINAL full-wedding day and I am feeling all the feels. Weddings were my bread and butter for so many years and got me to where I am today. While families + newborns are my heart and soul, getting to be there for these two today is truly the best of both worlds and I am SO excited. 🤍💍✨

It's the most perfect cool fall day today and I am so ready to get this show on the road!! See you soon, Shaiper's!!

THE KLUESNER FAMILY

Not totally sure how THIS view is WASHMO. 🤯😍 Oh, and like 3 minutes from my house! Perks of getting to shoot on private property and it was just breathtaking. It was a SWEATY one, but we got it done tonight with this fam! I haven't seen Campbell since his newborn photos, and he is oh so big and OH so scrumptious!! He was a champ for the camera, despite how hot this mid-September night was, but he showed off for mom and dad. 🥹 This family is soooo beautiful and such a treat to hang out with! 🤍

MACKENZIE + JORDAN | maternity

I had the best MORNING with M + J! I don't shoot much in the mornings (unless it's newborn) and I may be biased... mornings are where it's at... it's MUCH cooler. It was the perfect overcast but still could see some sky, with a subtle breeze. These two are expecting their first baby boy in just a few short weeks!! I am so, so excited for them and are going to make the best parents. 🥹🩵

Mackenzie looked so beautiful and they made taking photos so easy. Honestly the best way to start the day, then they were still able to go home and start their work day. 😆 what a productive Wednesday!!
