I always recommend scheduling your session within the first two weeks of life when babies are still in that curly, sleepy stage. To help things go smoothly, a full feeding right before you arrive at the studio usually does the trick. Don’t worry if they wake up or need a change mid-session—we move at the baby’s pace, keeping the energy easy-going and calm.

Not every cake smash is actually about smashing the cake.

Sometimes it is little fingers testing the frosting, a curious look toward the camera, a quick smile, or a baby taking their time figuring out what this sweet new thing is.

This session had such a soft seasonal feel with the pink outfit, simple white cake, pumpkins, greenery, and clean studio setting. It felt playful, but still classic enough to keep the focus on her first birthday milestone.
