There are moments in life where gut feelings play a significant role. As an individual who values instinct over prolonged deliberation, I've always sided with the underdog, welcomed pets and people into my life, offered a sympathetic ear, and provided support through food and an open-door policy. These actions often result in moments of astonishment for others. Having dealt with my fair share of negativity, I've never resorted to bullying, having been a victim of it during my childhood. Recently, I learned of someone's passing, a person I hadn't thought about in years. Knowing their tumultuous journey leading up to their death prompted reflection. I forgave this person years ago for their reprehensible behavior and even offered assistance during their family's trying times. Although others might have considered it senseless, I believe in being the better person. As Kris once said, 'That's growth and grace.' Take this to heart: put an end to bullying, as not everyone is familiar with or practices grace. Death is an inherent part of life, causing pain for everyone involved. Unfortunately, some individuals cannot overcome their struggles with substance abuse. Nevertheless, others will step forward to pick up the pieces.You did Matter!
