Reflecting on another holiday season in 2020, come and gone.

Although this year was unlike any we’ve ever witnessed, it brought us closer to what’s important. Closer to our dreams. Closer to our passions. Closer to our goals. Most importantly, however, it brought us closer to the people.
•
2020 taught us just how tangible life is. The people, our people matter. Although we spent birthdays, milestone highlights, holidays and more on Zoom and FaceTime, we were more grateful for these moments. And the people!
•
Whether we got dressed up or dressed in yoga pants all year— in the end, the people mattered.
•
We hope you had a memorable holiday and wish you and your family a safe and healthy New Year!

Celebrated another year around the sun, recently. I’d be remiss if I didn’t say 2020 has been a YEAR, y’all. It’s been a challenge to get all those goals accomplished, spend time with those most important to us (from a distance), stay mentally and physically fit—among other things. Nonetheless, this year has brought many new opportunities which we didn’t even realize were possible. The point is, we’re all reinventing self. That’s worth celebrating! ✨🎉

As event planners, we relish in the opportunity to celebrate. But celebrating occasions in history where we “got it right” are true moments of excellence. It took many years after the emancipation proclamation (Jan. 1863) to set slaves in the South and predominately in Texas free. Still 157 years later, we work to right the wrongs but as long as the work continues and we honor and celebrate our past, the future will be bright! ✨ Happy Juneteenth!

It’s May Y’all. Yes, we made it one more month in what I don’t think anyone could have imagined. It’s been rough. Mentally, emotionally, spiritually- rough. The news was already difficult to watch with so many negatives and disparities worldwide but now, it’s unbearable. Families separated, loved ones dying, businesses sinking, and people all over the world uncertain about the future. Despite the realness in this news, we have got to stay focused on the positives. We planners, designers, coordinators, caterers, etc are masters in the craft of reality bending. Clients come to us with a vision and we tactfully deliver beautiful creations. More than ever, the world needs our special touch. Bring the people together in new, exciting ways! This May we have a choice— choose wisely. And always remember your special sparkle✨
