🙏🏾💙 Special Ops Child Watch would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ms. Gardner and Mr. Reynolds of the Joint Base Andrews Commissary and to Mr. Timothy Reed for their generous support in recognition of our team’s efforts during the 2025 Air Show.

Their contribution will go directly toward supporting future grazing tables at SOCW events — providing food and snacks for the children we serve. This support allows us to continue creating warm, welcoming spaces where military families feel cared for and kids can enjoy themselves.

We are truly grateful for this partnership and for the recognition of the work being done to serve Those who serve US! Together, we are making a lasting difference for military families.

On this day in 1947, the U.S. Air Force was officially established as a separate branch of the Armed Forces. For 77 years, the men and women of the Air Force have protected our skies with courage, innovation, and sacrifice.

We had one mom who came in with her portable electric pump after losing battery charge. She was in tears when she found us because she was engorged 😭. The relief she felt being able to charge and pump was felt amongst our entire team — and she was so grateful.

Moments like this remind us that these spaces truly matter. 💙

It was more than just a gift… it was a reminder to take care of yourself while enjoying the day. Because serving families means caring for the little details, too. 💙✈️

Good morning from Pilot, the Eagle, Grace the Goat, and Mike the Mule!

For some time now, Pilot the Eagle has been encouraging our children each week with messages of focus, courage, and hope. At military events, he has stood at the door as a steady reminder of the pride and purpose we carry in serving our families.

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦.

Joining Pilot are two new companions—Grace the Goat, representing the Navy with her steadfast spirit, and Mike the Mule representing the Army, standing tall with the resilience and strength of a soldier.

Together, they will journey with us as we continue to create meaningful spaces of support, encouragement, and connection for military families across the nation.

Do you know an amazing military child between the ages of 13–18? Operation Homefront is now accepting nominations for the Military Child of the Year® Awards—celebrating the strength, resilience, and character of outstanding military kids. 💙

🏆 7 recipients (one from each branch of service) will receive:
$10,000 cash award
A laptop computer
A 3-night trip to Washington, D.C. with a parent/guardian

Recognition at a special gala in April 2026 during the Month of the Military Child ✨

💡 Who can nominate? Parents, teachers, mentors, guardians, siblings, or even friends—anyone who knows a military child and wants to honor their story!

Nominations are open NOW through December 2, 2025.

This program is FREE and open to Active Duty, Reserve, and Retired military children.

While the Air Show wowed the skies, Special Ops Child Watch filled the hangar with laughter, play, and creativity.

From building tall towers and exploring with toys 🚀, to coloring, drawing, and enjoying snacks 🍎 — kids had their own space to shine.

We loved seeing big smiles, new friendships, and imaginations come alive. For many families, it meant peace of mind knowing their children were safe, happy, and engaged while they enjoyed the show.

This is why we do what we do — creating spaces where military kids can learn, play, and just be kids. 💙✈️

True heroes are not defined by what they take, but by what they give. Joseph Campbell’s words remind us that the greatest acts of courage come when someone chooses to live — and sometimes sacrifice — for a purpose bigger than themselves.

At Special Ops Child Watch, we honor the selflessness of our military members and families, who remind us daily what service, sacrifice, and strength truly mean. 💛🦅

✨ What an impact at the 2025 Air Show! ✨

Special Ops Child Watch was honored to serve families in our Family Recharge Zone and Nursing Moms Space. Here’s a look at what we accomplished together this weekend:

✅ 507 total play passes used

✅ 126 family units serviced in the Play Pass area (each pass allowed up to 4 people)

✅ 85 nursing moms fed their babies comfortably — a total of 88 babies fed in our quiet, cool space

✅ 102+ children changed in a safe and hygienic environment

✅ 5 special needs children cared for with accommodations, including a secure space for larger children needing diaper changes

✅ 10 elderly visitors provided with a resting place when they needed a break

✅ Families were able to access diapers, wipes, and essentials — all complimentary

✅ 8 gallons of water personally poured into cups and placed directly in the hands of visitors waiting in the sun to board buses for departure 💧🌞

💙 We are proud to have been a go-to resource for military families at this year’s Air Show.

Thank you to every partner, volunteer, and supporter who helped us create a space of comfort, care, and community!

This has been weighing on my heart all weekend, and I want to take a moment this #𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐀𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 to highlight the incredible hard work that went into making the **𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐉𝐁𝐀 𝐀𝐢𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰** a huge success.

A massive thank you to the **𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬** who worked tirelessly, often 12 to 16-hour days, without even a chance to enjoy the festivities themselves. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.

Special shoutout to **MSGT ARMOND** — always with a smile despite the long hours, ensuring Hangar 3 had everything it needed, juggling countless tasks and wearing so many hats with grace and commitment 🫡

To the ** 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐩𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 ** thank TEAM for creating a safe, welcoming space for mothers to nurse, providing parents with a real changing table, setting up the family recharge area and handing out water to families loading the buses at end if the event. Your efforts made a world of difference for families attending the event.

And lastly, my deepest appreciation to **𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝**, who woke up at 2:45 AM each morning and didn’t come home until after 6 PM, unable even to catch a glimpse of the amazing events on the airfield or spend quality time with our four kids during such a memorable occasion.

Thank you to **𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬** for keeping the base secure through those grueling hours. The impact you all made on the community is truly priceless.

This event was a true team effort, and I am endlessly grateful for every single person who made it possible. JBA Together, we truly made a difference that will be remembered for years to come! 💙✈️
