Leaning hard into this one... It's National Day of Unplugging

Have been unplugged the last 24 hours while we soak it all in, in . Although we are staying in a new hotel this time around, we have become experts of this island over the years and it feels good to be "home."

This little man has been CRUSHING virtual school (ok well maybe not all of it... He is not a fan of Spanish class)!

Even though he didn't get the "back to school" experience for his first time at it, I still like to keep a good morning routine of making sure he is dressed and ready for the day before he sits down to his little table.

The first time I met I just KNEW we had to be BFFs.

We met when I decided I wanted to learn the basics of photography and she was teaching a workshop after having just moved to the area. I hired her for a client gig shortly after and the rest of our love affair is history.

Now, I could not imaging waking up a Monday morning after shooting gorgeous weddings with her without seeing sneak peeks like this one from K + T's perfect fall day! She captured it beautifully (and it certainly helped that they looked 🔥)! It was amazing with such an awesome vendor team! Congrats K + T!

In everything I do, in every wedding I plan, in every project I dream of, I strive to work with those that inspire me and that are eager to execute the vision. Working with people that are team players and that are just as exciting about making your couple's wedding day as perfect as you want it be is the name of the game. What is the great thing you got to do during COVID?

I know some of you are thinking that there has been nothing great about COVID... And there are times that I have totally been there. I have been TRYING to see the light. But I am here to tell you there was one.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My love of cooking classes! Thanks to one of my best girlfriends, I started taking cooking classes early on with and they have been so fun and a great escape for me on weeknights after crazy days of juggling. And one thing I have learned along the way from Chef Paul is that you don't need alllll the amazing tools to cook well, but there are a few he recommends. Hop over to the blog to check out what he recommends to have on hand in the kitchen.

I tell them to think of the moment they got engaged and the feeling that they both felt. It does the trick 90% of the time. But the other 10% of the time I tell them to picture the room naked.

PET PEEVE: (besides wearing the damn mask for 8 hours straight).... When you just can’t get the damn edges straight on styling flat lays. And my job is to make sure those edges are straight for my photographer friends to capture perfectly!

Tips for getting it right?
1. Use things to create depth that are even flat surfaces (I.e. small jewelry boxes)
2. Use double sided tap or our favorite museum wax to keep things in place
3. PATIENCE
