It's been a while since we had the flower truck out! I've missed seeing the creativity and smiles that a flower bar can bring! 🌼🛻

Sweet Emma turned 16, and she wanted flowers and friends for her celebration! It was an afternoon full of giggles, creativity, and all the pretty things! We finished off making bouquets and bud vases with a cute photoshoot of the girls and their flowers! It was a fun afternoon and one I hope they remember forever! 🌸

Ryann is another bride who has captured my heart! 🤍

She emailed me about a year ago asking me to do her wedding florals and told me that she and her mom wanted to grow some of their own flowers for her special day. I immediately loved the idea because that’s actually how our little flower truck and bouquet business began—with me growing flowers for my own wedding bouquet.

I offered her some seeds I had saved from my gardens, and it just dawned on me while writing this that some of those seeds were originally saved from flowers I grew for my wedding. 🥹 How fun is that to think about?!

Anywho, I gathered up all the seeds I had for her and her mom. They ordered more, and we spent months emailing, texting and talking about seeds and flowers.

Once spring came around and we got those seeds into the soil, Ryann would send me pictures of their progress. We got to watch those tiny little seeds grow and eventually come to life as flowers she would carry on her wedding day. I absolutely loved getting those texts and watching her flowers grow right alongside mine. It was such a unique and special experience!

Fast forward to wedding week…

I met Ryann and her mom, and they showed up with a CAR LOAD full of flowers and greenery. 😂 They had literally chopped and cut everything they could find from both of their gardens and landscapes. It was soooo cute watching them light up as they opened the back of the car to show me everything they had brought!

And somehow, all of those little seeds and months of growing turned into her bridal bouquet. 🤍

I was able to create it using almost entirely flowers and greenery grown by Ryann and her mom, adding only a few stems from other growers. Even some of the greenery came from a bush they had cut down in their landscaping.

That bouquet was made with so much love🩷

When I presented it to Ryann, her whole face lit up. We both started fighting back tears because she had JUST gotten her makeup done and was getting her hair did, and we were trying really hard to keep ourselves together. 😂

It’s a moment I’ll never forget.

To see these pictures of her holding her bouquet just fills my heart!! She was absolutely glowing and I drove off crying 😂

From a handful of seeds, to their gardens, to a bouquet in the hands of a bride on her wedding day. This one was really, really special. 🌸

We have been talking about building a walk-in cooler for a couple of years now! Well, this spring we came across some free pallets, which sparked our creativity, and we decided to build not only a walk-in cooler but also a little flower studio where I could create. Easy breezy, right? 🤣

Well, if you don’t already know, Tony and I love to recycle and reuse materials whenever we can. About 95% of the flower truck was created from items we’ve either saved over the years or were given to us!

Back in April, we came across all these free pallets. They were huge, heavy, awkward, and took forever to disassemble. (Our goal was to have it built by May 30… 🤣) After weeks of taking pallets apart(thanks to our son's for helping), we quickly realized that deadline was going to come and go! Considering Tony works a full-time job and also spends most weekends helping me with weddings and events, we just kept plugging away as time allowed.

There was sawing, cutting, measuring, recutting, re-sawing, and remeasuring—just to make everything fit together. When you’re using free wood, especially pallet wood, nothing lines up perfectly. I think he took it apart at least three times. 🤣 Poor guy!

Well… we finally have it almost completed. Complete enough for me to play with flowers I cut from my garden this morning.

As I stood there today looking around at the gardens we’ve built, the flower truck we’ve built, and now this little flower house we’ve built, it hit me…

We’ve created this beautiful little life together. And because of that, I get to share beautiful flowers with all of you.

It’s indescribable to be loved so deeply and to have someone who believes in you more than you believe in yourself.

I’m so in love with the life we’ve built together. ❤️

I was asked to create a funeral arrangement for the lovely lady who cared for our local native plant garden here in town. Gretchen was her name.

I didn’t know Gretchen all that well, but I knew her garden! I was honored to create something that represented the gardens she took such wonderful care of. I’ve walked her gardens with my granddaughters for the last few years, taking in all their beauty—from the trees to the shrubs to the wildflowers. We’d pick flowers, bring home seeds, and took many photos of my grandkids against the picturesque backdrop of all the wildflowers. Her gardens will always be a core memory for me and my grandchildren, and for that, I’m grateful to her.

So I designed this piece intentionally, using houseplants to represent the trees that grow in the landscape and using only the wildflowers that were growing in the garden. I hope this piece captured even a small part of the beauty and passion Gretchen shared with our community. I hope a little spark of joy was shared when friends and family noticed the left-handed glove and her wildflowers, all carefully designed with the same passion she had for the Native Garden down the street. RIP Gretchen and my condolences to her family and friends!

This might be one of my favorite photos ever, see those smiles? This is my why! I love working with brides who genuinely love flowers! Erin and I met at a bridal show, she tried on a bouquet with me, and the rest was history! There's something about building a relationship over the beauty of flowers that lights me up! It just hits different when the bride has a passion for flowers! One of my favorite parts of all the hard work that goes into wedding planning, is handing over the bridal bouquet and seeing the Brides face light up, it never gets old! Thank you Chris McGuire Photography for capturing this moment! It's one of my favorite shots! And thank you Erin for trusting me with your wedding florals! I'll forever think of you when I think of peonies! 🍃🌸🍃

We had such a blast at Rivian Family and Friends day!! We helped over 800 Rivian friends build bouquets this year! It takes a team to pull off a production of this size and I couldn't be anymore proud of our team! From filling buckets of flowers, to setting up, to keeping flowers stocked, greeting guests, wrapping bouquets and clean up, our team kept up flawlessly! It was hot and chaotic but everyone pushed through with a smile!! We even made time to see the baby goats! It such a fun event to be a part of!! Thank you to Rivian for having us back and thank you girls, I truly appreciate every single one of you! We did it!! 🌼🛻
