Sam came in this afternoon to finish up her cardboard tube framed design. She added metallic paint and designs in the background.

Nick came in this afternoon and seemed to enjoy today's exploration of how size and weight(amount) of an object affects what kinds of sounds are produced. We had balloons, funnels, beads, pebbles, sand, and small styrofoam balls. We also got silly with the balloons and stretched the neck while inflated to make sounds like birds, or screeching/whining sounds, or sounds that resemble funny bodily functions...😆
Nick placed different materials into three different balloons and experimented with them after they were blown up. He used two hands to shake them, he used one hand to flop them back and forth, etc..he also felt the materials inside the balloons before they were blown up.

Happy Birthday Celia! Sunday evening Celia celebrated her 12th birthday with a group of friends and her brother and sister. First they all created pickles, (yes! pickles!) out of card stock...then they all painted a background or scene of where their pickles were. Before the paint dried they placed their pickles into their new environments!
