What a weekend on the two day event at the Hmong New Year. Such a great event and a culture everyone should experience and get to know, great people, food, cultural, Traditional and a great time. This was our first big event on a two day event schedule and man, from Friday to Sunday I probably had a total of 3-4hrs of sleep only. But, we managed to keep that fire going inside of us and keep it moving. I ran on a lot of caffeine and the drive within not to stop and keep pushing forward.
We pushed out over 150lbs+ meats and 80lbs of it was brisket alone, we had that smoker working non-stop since Friday. Sold out brisket (within 2hrs), Mac & cheese and street corn Elote on the first day. Second day brisket (sold out within an hour), And ribs sold out. Doing BBQ is not for weak, a lot of preparation, timing, discipline and most importantly being consistent with it. When things don’t go your way, you must pivot and find a way and sometimes just wing it as you go. 🤞🏽 Trust yourself and your skills to pull through during time of chaos because you know you been through the flames.
We appreciate every single person that came to grab some food from us and showing us love and support. We greatly appreciate it and giving y’all the experience of DA BBQ NINJA is what I live for and more importantly support my Hmong community. ❤️ Until Next year my people, More Brisket! 🤪😉
