God painted this picture the night after the storm. Our thoughts and prayers continue for everyone affected by Helene and all of the ones who are evacuating now due to Milton. We pray for safety and protection for them and definitely for comfort, strength and resources for so many wonderful people who will be trying to rebuild their lives, homes and souls. May God bless them all.

Hurricane Update: We are hosting our 2nd & 3rd weddings today through Saturday since the storm and our clean-up efforts continue on the farm around the venue. The venue is back to excellent condition and continues to run on generators. If houses were rented across the highway from the venue, they continue to be without power and cannot be rented until the power is restored. Our power company has made tremendous progress in the surrounding areas, and it is possible that power will be restored soon. Hampton Inn in Thomson, GA hopes to lift their room block ban next week, but that will depend on if it is needed for front-line workers (which is totally understandable). We appreciate the understanding and patience from all of our clients.
For our followers who may not have an upcoming event with us: Coming from the health care industry it was initially difficult for us to justify prioritizing weddings and using resources (propane for generators, etc.) compared to so many other pertinent needs for people affected by the storm. This may be the thought process of some of you as well. However, we have tried to turn it into a positive situation. These couples cannot just easily change their date. Venues and vendors are often booked a year in advance and canceling some vendors may go without reimbursement. Also, they do have many guests who are able to receive a good meal from them and a wedding always lifts everyone's spirits :) We also have employees who are able to continue to work in order to provide for their families. The vendors can continue their business and provide for their families and their employees' families. Therefore, we are very grateful for our clients and the support they have given us. Most of all we are grateful that the Lord protected our couples and our business. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with all of those affected by the storm. We pray for comfort and strength for the ones who lost family members. We also pray for all of the front-line workers to stay safe.

Re: Future Weddings
The venue buildings were not damaged. We were able to host this weekend’s wedding and the couple and their families were very gracious and understanding of the clean up we were not able to get to. We have major farm damage surrounding the venue area, but were able to get most of the large debris cleaned up at the venue. (The venue has generators). We hope to respond to everyone’s messages and emails later, but right now all of our efforts are going to cleaning the farm and venue.

This was such a sweet, sweet event for a beautiful couple. Mr. & Mrs. Benjy Jones celebrated with a vow renewal. After dating for 5 years, they married 28 years ago. They have 2 wonderful children and a precious grandson. We were blessed to have them share this special occasion at our venue.
