🎂 Jordyn is ONE!

I honestly don’t know how a whole year has already flown by, but Cody and Tiah’s little girl is officially one year old!

We got together to celebrate the big milestone with a birthday session, and Jordyn absolutely stole the show. From the big smiles to the classic first-birthday curiosity, she made my job incredibly easy.

Cody, Tiah—you guys are killing it as parents. Thanks for letting me capture these memories for your family!

I’ve added some of my favorite moments and behind-the-scenes thoughts to the individual photos below. Check them out! 👇

🦊 6:15 AM Staredown

My friend Mark Evans picked me up at 6:00 AM a couple of weeks ago for a wildlife run. Literally 15 minutes after arriving at the spot, these two eyes locked onto us from the brush.

Actually, it was four eyes at first. Two foxes popped out side-by-side, staring us down. I wanted to lift the camera, but I knew the slightest movement would send them bolting. I sat completely still, waiting for the perfect second to move into place.

By the time I got the lens up, one had slipped away—but this guy stuck around just long enough to see what we were up to.

I’ve added some behind-the-scenes thoughts to each of the individual photos below.

If you’d love a high-quality print of one of these shots for your home or office, just shoot the page a direct message and we can easily set it up.

I was driving by General Joseph Warren Park around 8:00 PM tonight and caught one of those rare, completely surreal moments you only find if you happen to be in the right place at the right time.

Warren’s First Annual Memorial Day Ceremony had already ended, the crowds had gone home, and the park was empty—except for a grand piano left on the grass and the two musicians still sitting there, playing into the dusk.

It was the Clouse Family Trio (a Navy Veteran family who recently moved to our community). Even after the official event was over, they were still pouring their hearts into the music in the quiet open air.

Memorial Day is a time to pause, reflect, and remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedoms. Seeing them play out there in the silence, long after everyone had left, felt like the most fitting tribute possible.

I’m so glad I pulled over to capture a few frames of this quiet moment.

🌸 Spring Fling 2026 at The Pond🎶

I had an absolute blast out in Sugar Grove capturing the energy at The Pond for their Spring Fling event!

From the incredible lineup of local musicians—like The Swamp Yankees, Kallie Williams Music & Kayla, and the rest of the crew—to the crowd, the vibes were unmatched.

Shoutout to The Big Cheese Food Truck for keeping everyone fed, and to everyone who came out to support local music and community events right here in Warren County.

I’ve put together a full gallery of shots from the day capturing the bands, the crowds, and all the action.

Check the comments below for the link to the full gallery to see if I caught you in front of the stage! 📸👇

On Friday evening, the Crary Art Gallery opened its doors for a special evening of art and philanthropy, giving benefactors a first look at some incredible, previously unseen archival works.

The goal of the evening was a crucial one: to preview and sponsor the conservation and framing of these historic pieces so they can be preserved and included in the upcoming 50th Anniversary exhibit.

While Friday was an intimate preview to kick off the initiative, this project belongs to our whole community. These beautiful pieces deserve to be seen, and you can help bring them to the public gallery walls.

The Crary has set up a way for anyone to sponsor a piece and directly support its conservation and framing. If you'd like to be a part of preserving this local art history for the milestone 50th anniversary, you can view the remaining pieces and sponsor one here:

It was an honor to capture the elegance of the evening and get a glimpse of these hidden gems. Stay tuned for the full anniversary exhibits!

🍺 Bent Fest 2026 at Bent Run Brewing Co. 🍺

I spent my Saturday down at Bent Run Brewing Company for Bent Fest, and what an incredible event it was!

I arrived at 2:00 PM for the VIP opening and stayed through the final notes of the night. We really lucked out with the weather—after that early morning rain, it cleared up perfectly for a full afternoon of great beer and live music, only starting to pour again right as things were wrapping up.

A huge shoutout to the three bands that played; the energy was high all day. I managed to sample a few of the brews while capturing a massive gallery of shots (did anyone try the home-brewed pistachio beer? And the smoked pistachios with it?!). There’s nothing like the atmosphere of a packed brewery event when the music is loud and the community is out in full force.

Cheers to the Bent Run crew for another successful fest! 🍻📸

At today’s Jessica Salapek Memorial 5K, Brian Salapek spoke about existentialism and absurdism—the idea that in the grand scheme of things, perhaps nothing 'matters' in the way we think it does.

But there’s a massive freedom in that.

If nothing is predetermined, then the love we choose to show and the ways we show up for one another are the only things that truly carry weight.

Seeing this community come together to turn a tragedy into hope for others proves that we create our own meaning. It was an honor to document these moments of a family moving forward, held up by memory and a freed spirit.

Happy birthday Jess, where ever you may be.
