Flores Food Group Nationwide catering with a personal touch, from large events to private gatherings. In 2014, he and his wife, Danielle, started Flores Food Truck & Catering.

The Flores Family set off with a dream to open up a food truck to provide nutritious lunches & school supplies to students in need. While attending The Culinary Institute of America, Austin fell in love with the diverse meals a food truck could offer and the ability to bring great food to people of all ages, backgrounds, and locations! He saw how food uniquely brought people together and how a single meal could change a life. With each event and customer interaction, their goal was to Feed a Soul, Fill a Heart. The Floreses furthered their hospitality careers by working at Dorado Beach, a Ritz Carlton Reserve and Westin Maui. Their travels expanded their food & beverage knowledge and their palates, but they always hoped to return back to New York to fulfill their original dream. In 2018, Austin & Danielle returned to the Hudson Valley, eager to make their vision a reality. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, an unexpected opportunity arose to be able to cook and distribute meals for first responders, hospital staff, students & families in need, and those in homeless shelters. The community came together to donate supplies, ingredients, and essentials for the food trucks to prepare and distribute to others in the community. What was considered one of the toughest years in the industry is actually when their dream was fulfilled. In 2021 they opened their first restaurant, Flores Tapas Bar, and continue to expand their dream of giving back to the community. The best is yet to come!

Making each person feel taken care of is something else entirely.

It’s the team showing up before the event begins. The extra hands when things get busy. The little details that most people will never notice, but that make all the difference to the person on the receiving end.

It’s a lot of moving parts, long hours, and people working together to make something big feel personal.

And that’s the part we’re proudest of.

Because behind every plate we serve is a team that cares about the people receiving it. Whether we’re feeding hundreds or thousands, we want every guest to feel welcome, well-fed, and taken care of.

That’s the heart of what we do at Flores. And it’s our people who bring it to life, event after event.

From the outside, a large event can look pretty simple.

People arrive. Food gets served. Everyone has a great time.

But behind the scenes? There’s a whole lot happening before that first plate ever reaches a guest.

For this event, our team helped feed 15,000 people — and that meant weeks of planning, preparation, coordination, setup, service, and a whole lot of moving parts coming together at the right time.

It takes an experienced team to make something this big feel seamless.
