in the middle ages brides carried bouquets to mask body odor • bathing wasn’t exactly a daily thing

they’d mix in strong-smelling herbs like garlic and rosemary • bonus points for also warding off evil spirits and, apparently, encouraging honeymoon romance (hello, dill!)

over time, the tradition stuck, but thankfully, today’s bouquets are more about looking pretty than covering up bad smells!!!

I’m Amy, and my husband, Robbie, and I run LaRocque Farms together.

As promised, here’s a little about Robbie:

• He’d give our dog, Tipsy, his last meal without hesitation.
• He spent three years living in Puerto Rico - surfing, working, and eating açaí
• He’s the muscle behind the farm - if it looks good, it’s because of him.
• If he ever had time for another hobby, he’d take up falconry - because training birds of prey seems like a perfectly normal next step.
• His favorite food? 🫐 we grow them here just for him.
• He’s a twin, an Ironman, and an excellent girl dad.
• Rain or shine, you’ll find him running the farm with Tipsy by his side.

Couldn’t do this without him!!

a glimpse into the second best day of our lives (because nothing tops the day Avery was born)

our summer wedding was filled with bright wildflowers, welcome drinks on Geneva Lake, vows (repeated twice for extra affect), spicy tuna cones (that we still talk about), gourmet caramel apples (from a place called Amy’s), a 30 minute speech from my father, this song for our first dance, kisses, laughter, and all of our closest

our cheeks hurt from smiling • and we are so proud of what LaRocque Farms has become
