We’re looking for a Glass Teaching Artist!
 
Center for Community Arts is seeking an experienced glass artist and educator to teach Intermediate & Advanced Glass Fusing in Walnut Creek.
 
Our glass program has a strong community of highly experienced makers, and we’re looking for a teaching artist who can build on that foundation — introducing new techniques, supporting individual artistic growth, and helping shape the next chapter of a program that has been thriving for more than 30 years.
 
We’re looking for someone with:
* Advanced experience in glass fusing and kiln-formed glass
* Strong knowledge of kiln operation, firing schedules, and studio practices
* A professional or established artistic practice
* Experience teaching intermediate or advanced adult students
* A passion for experimentation, technique, and creative development
 
This is a contract teaching artist position, with compensation based on a percentage of course registration fees.

Join us for our Annual Parent & Me Ceramics Workshop, where little artists and their grown‑ups work together to glaze and create their very own fall leaves and gingerbread ornaments. No ceramic experience is necessary—this activity is perfect for families and siblings of all ages. Drop in anytime during the session to craft and glaze your projects. We’ll fire them in our kilns and return to you in a week. The fee includes one adult and one student; additional siblings may join for an extra $10 each.
