Thanks to Craig at Craig Isaacs for taking these photos at the Locust Street Fair in Walnut Creek Downtown

🎈I love this job so much, so I'm so grateful to everyone who comes up to me and gets a balloon. You are the reason I can make my art my full-time career.

Being part of public events like this is such an honor to me. Getting to be part of the fabric of this Bay Area Community brings me so much joy, and I love that my presence brings joy to the community as well.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦Getting to work with families daily and having a courtside seat to good and loving parenting is beautiful to see.
👶The kids make me laugh constantly, and I love answering their curious questions (usually. Unless I'm very tired 😅).
🌤Having the priviliedge to work out in the fresh air and sunshine, and make a living from my own creativity and craftsmanship... I can't express how grateful I am that this is my life 🥲

So thank you so much to everyone who gets a balloon from me, to the organizers who host community events, and, of course, thanks to the photographers who snap excellent photos of me so I can post mushy captions under them

And if you want me at your community event, block party, or any other event, just send me a message 📨

Endangered Species A - Z
E is for Echidna 🦔

This is the Attenborough Long-Beaked Echidna, one of the endangered species on Long Beaked Echidnas that live in the mountains of New Guinea

Echidnas are weird. They're monotremes, egg-laying mammals, and the only other monotreme is the Platypus. They're the only living species from a lineage of mammals that split from most other mammals millions of years ago.

Most people think of echidnas and platypus as uniquely Australian animals, but half of the Nusantara archipelago was connected to the Australian continent during the last ice age, so many of the islands up until Lombok have flora and fauna from Australia, like marsupials, eucalyptus, and cassowaries, while from Bali westward, you'll find Asian flora and fauna, like elephants, rhinos, and apes.
