Teaching Artist – Summer Programs (Part-Time / Contract)

The Inspired Acting Company is seeking energetic, collaborative **Teaching Artists** to join our **Summer 2026 Education Team**.
This is an opportunity to spend your summer helping young artists build creativity, confidence, and performance skills in a professional theatre environment. We’re looking for artists who are passionate about working with young people and excited to create engaging, meaningful experiences through theatre.
Summer Programs
🎭 **Youth Theatre Camp (Ages 8–13)**
**Term 1:** July 13–17, 2026
**Term 2:** August 3–7, 2026
🎭 **Teen Theatre Camp (Ages 13–18)**
**Term 1:** July 20–24, 2026
**Term 2:** August 17–21, 2026
Teaching opportunities may include:
* Acting
* Improvisation
* Musical Theatre
* Creative Drama
* Character Development
* Movement & Storytelling
* Ensemble-Based Performance
* Theatre Creation and Performance Skills
Compensation
**$25–$30 per hour**
Compensation is based on experience, assignment, and teaching responsibilities.
Scheduling & Availability
Teaching Artists **do not need to be available for every camp session or for the full camp day.** We welcome applicants with **partial availability** and will work to build schedules based on instructor availability, student enrollment, and program needs.
Whether you are available for a full week, select days, mornings only, afternoons only, or a single session, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities
* Lead engaging, age-appropriate theatre classes and camp experiences
* Create a supportive, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
* Collaborate with the Educational Program Director on curriculum and planning
* Communicate with staff regarding student needs and program logistics
* Help create an exceptional educational experience for students and families
Qualifications
* Experience working with youth or teens in educational or theatrical settings
* Background in theatre, performance, musical theatre, directing, movement, or related disciplines
* Strong communication and classroom management skills
* Reliable, collaborative, and student-centered approach
* Passion for theatre education and mentorship
