Still not over Brian’s reaction during their first look—pure joy, zero chill, and 100% genuine love.

Ginny walked up, and you could see his whole world light up. These two are the real deal, and it shows in every frame. One of my all-time faves!

Are you a fan of First Looks? Or do you prefer the traditional first look to be when your Love walks down the aisle?

Guess who had a lighting technique bank to Long Term Memory Storage? This gal. And if you know me, you know that’s a BIG win for my TBI brain. We took a little trip to the OK Theater in Enterprise, Oregon to photograph the one and only Calico Bones—led by my soul sister McKenzie, who is somehow both ethereal and outlaw at the same time. I broke out a four-light setup that made these musician portraits look like they stepped off an album cover and into a western dream. Not to brag, but I left that theater feeling like the lighting wizard I always hoped I’d grow up to be.

Go support local music by liking their page and catching a show when you can—it matters more than you know ❤️❤️❤️

For five years now, I’ve had the incredible honor of photographing Mikey, Garrett, and their beautiful circle of love. I’ve watched them exchange sacred vows, danced through Walla Walla’s wine-soaked magic with them, and been lucky enough to witness their story unfold—one laugh, one hug, one unforgettable moment at a time.

This trip, they brought their momma, sisters, and bestie, and it was pure magic from start to finish. A day curated to perfection by Bacchus and Barley (seriously, hire Greg—you won’t regret it), and a soul-nourishing dinner by the insanely talented Chef Candice Smith ( ).

It’s the kind of day that reminds me why I do what I do. Being invited into moments like this is something I’ll never take for granted.

Last week, I took a break from social media because my TBI had a flare-up, and when that happens, even the simplest tasks feel like a puzzle with missing pieces. I forget steps, lose track of what I need to do, and suddenly, being an efficient business owner feels impossible. And maybe people notice—or maybe I just fear they notice.

The wild part? When my brain struggles with executive function, my emotions and intuition turn all the way up. I feel everything more deeply. Maybe one day, it’ll all sync up—the intuition and the structure, all at once.

Until then, I’m figuring it out, taking breaks when I need to, and learning to trust that my people will still be here. Have you ever felt that tension? The push and pull of needing to show up but also needing to step back?

Yesterday’s premier was more than I could have even imagined. And now, this art show—my love letter to the Phoenix moment in women’s lives—has raised $2,318 for the YWCA.

I have seen women rise from the ashes, stepping into the most beautiful, powerful versions of themselves. I have learned that when we find our own light and feed our fire, we shine bright for others. They see it. They feel it. And maybe, just maybe, they realize they can shine a little brighter, too.

To love ourselves is to find our power and our agency. To love ourselves is to love others. To love ourselves is to show the world that no matter what happens, we will always stand tall. Because every day, we celebrate all we have survived. We are poetic creations made from everything we have seen, touched, heard, loved, and cried for. We are the embodiment of power, resilience, strength, and vulnerability.

And we will always rise!!!!

My deepest gratitude goes to Matt and Lonna, Curators and Owners for hosting this Art Show/Protest. It takes a level of bravery to boldly share art of the n**e human form in this current state of the world, and it does not go unnoticed.

Endless gratitude to the brave women who modeled for this show—who bared their souls and bodies as both protest and living art. Their courage is a testament to the power of self-expression, to reclaiming space, to standing unapologetically in their truth. This is bravery in its purest form, and I am in awe.

A huge thank you to for turning my scattered brainstorming into something tangible and real. Without her organization and publicity magic, I no doubt would have forgotten at least 75% of what I needed. She’s not just the best publicist I’ve ever had—she’s the reason this show came together so seamlessly.

On this first day of Women’s History Month, I honor the fierce, trailblazing women who paved the way for me. Their strength, wisdom, and love shaped the path I walk today.

👉Who are the grandmothers, mothers, and mentors who built you up, inspired your journey, and made you who you are? Share their stories—let’s celebrate the women who came before us!!

For day 1, we will start with the women who gave me a foundation of confidence and the fire the keep going no matter the obstacles.

My great-great-grandmother, Ruth Corley Spencer, was born under the light of a full moon in 1913 and lived just as boldly. She was one of the first to remove “serve and obey” from her wedding vows, choosing love on her own terms and blazing trails in her own time.

My Manna, Linda, was a business owner, a world traveler, and one of the most talented seamstresses in the state—no doubt. I spent much of my early childhood sleeping under her sewing table as she worked on wedding dresses, watching her build a thriving business, and serve her community with skill and heart.

It was Ruth and Linda who showed me what it meant to be strong, to care for others in my own way and at my own pace, and to have the confidence to run my own business.

WHY IS THIS SO MUCH FUN?! 😂

These Gentoo penguins are incredible little dancers btw. They’re so adorable and the big chonky fella in the middle is most definitely having an “ecstatic display” (

And that’s exactly why I do what I do.

Because years from now, when the kids have grown, when life has shifted in ways you never saw coming, these images will take you right back. Back to the sound of their giggles, the way their little hands fit in yours, the way your family felt in this season.

❄️It’s not about perfection—it’s about presence. About embracing the messy, the beautiful, the real.❄️

So let’s capture this moment before it slips away. Because the only thing better than living these memories is being able to hold onto them forever.

True beauty isn’t found in what society tells us we should look like.

True beauty lies in what we have lived for, how we have healed, and the moments we have survived.

Nvdity is not the same as 🌽

It’s deeply human, it’s about raw emotions, and it’s beautiful.

I invite you to come to my premiere photography exhibition on March 1, 2025 at

Family photo sessions aren’t just about perfect smiles and coordinating outfits.

They’re about preserving a moment in time- a fleeting season of life that will never be exactly the same again.

I don’t just see families as groups of people standing together for a picture. I see them as living stories. The way a child grips their parent’s hand a little tighter, the way a Grandmother’s eyes soften when she looks at her grandchildren, the laughter that erupts when Mom and Dad finally get a moment to tell that inside joke that only they understand. These are the moments that matter.

A family session with me isn’t stiff or overly posed. It’s alive. It’s kids running, parents chasing, genuine embraces, and stolen kisses. It’s the chaos and the quiet. The in-between moments that no one thinks to capture - but will mean everything years from now.

Because one day, these won’t be just pictures. They’ll be reminders, of love. Of connection. Of the way you all were in *this* season, before time moved forward and everything changed again.

You don’t need a reason to book a family session. You just need to know that this moment is worth remembering.

I was sitting at dinner with a world-class photographer, a scientist, and a historian, and they all said the same thing…

It didn’t matter how different or fields were. Whether we spent our days behind a camera, in a lab, counting penguins, or writing books. Every single person at that table understood truth: the world is moving too fast.

When you slow down – when you truly see – your work changes.

Photography isn’t about what’s in front of the Lenz. It’s about the perspective behind it. And that’s true creative work.

So here’s my challenge for you today: Paws). Observe. Breathe. See what happens when you stop chasing and start noticing.

What is something beautiful you’ve noticed lately? 👇
