Snow Moon Charcuterie Board
We had a few things in mind when we made this board: February, a month associated with Valentine's Day, needed some soft pink touches. Winter - How do we emphasize the massive snowfall we just experienced? Full Moon in Leo - we wanted to show off some warm Leo sun vibes.
So what's on the plate?
Cheese: 5 Spoke Creamery Harvest Moon (bright orange, perfect for Leo but also perfectly named), Mont D'Or (a seasonal cheese, highly sought after, and with a name like Mountain of Gold, fit into the theme perfectly), and Mitica Nieve de Cabra (milky white Spanish cheese who's name literally translates to Goat Snow).
Accompaniments: Prosciutto on pearl skewers, bright yellow apricots, dehydrated papaya, pink pickled radicchio, white pickled carrot shavings, holographic white chocolate bark, pink lady apple chips, dehydrated citrus, and tons of edible glitter.
My favorite components were the "Snow Ball" details. The larger white spheres were chamomile yogurt spheres using a spherification method with algin and sodium chloride, and the smaller pearls are actually just sprinkles. (The internet had a very visceral reaction to the pearls!! They thought I put inedible pearls on a plate. They're candy, people!!)
Anyway, did this fit the theme? I'd love to hear your thoughts
