🎈 What if your PASSION could become your CAREER?

Never in a million years did I imagine BALLOONS would lead me HERE! 💜💛

I was incredibly honored when LSU Advertising Federation invited me to speak with students at LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communication about turning your passion into a career!

After building Animated Art Balloon Decor & Entertainment since 2008, one thing I’ve learned is:

Passion may start your business, but PURPOSE, PROCESSES, and PERSEVERANCE are what help it grow!

We talked about the REAL side of entrepreneurship. The challenges, growing pains, lessons learned, and what it takes to turn something you LOVE into a sustainable business.

A few lessons I shared:

🎈 Know your WHY! Your mission statement should guide your decisions, especially the difficult ones.

🎈 DOCUMENT EVERYTHING! Processes, procedures, and quality standards allow your team to deliver consistent excellence as you grow.

🎈 Make it EASY to do business with you! Every step of your client’s journey matters.

🎈 Your REPUTATION is EVERYTHING! Reviews, referrals, and word of mouth speak volumes about your company’s character.

🎈 MARKETING MATTERS! Your online presence helps people find you, but exceptional service gets people TALKING!

Owning a business is HARD. But when you truly believe in what you’re doing, that passion helps carry you through the difficult days.

My FAVORITE part of the evening? The QUESTIONS! 🙌 These students were curious, engaged, and excited about their futures!

A HUGE thank-you to LSU Advertising Federation and LSU Manship School for inviting me to share my journey. LSU has been such a meaningful part of our business, and getting to give back was truly special! 💜💛

To future entrepreneurs: NEVER underestimate where your passion can take you!

“Can you make us a life-sized polar bear… out of BALLOONS?” 🐻‍❄️🎈

Well… you know we love a challenge. 😏

We had the honor of creating something VERY special for the celebration of Richard Lipsey and the release of his book, Looking Back: 85+ Years of Family, Business, LSU, Community, and the Lone Witness to JFK’s Autopsy.

The Lipsey family has a polar bear in their office—and they asked if we could recreate it in balloons for the event honoring the legend, Richard Lipsey!

Our answer?

Absolutely. And let’s make him 8 FEET TALL. 😂🙌🏻

Hundreds of balloons, a LOT of twisting, sculpting, engineering and problem solving later…

🐻‍❄️ MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

An 8-foot-tall balloon polar bear was delivered to the Champions Club at Alex Box Stadium, ready to ROAR alongside a room full of LSU purple + gold. 💜💛

This is one of my favorite things about what we do. Sometimes we’re creating beautiful décor…and sometimes we’re asked to figure out how to build a GIANT POLAR BEAR out of balloons.

We love both. ❤️

Congratulations to Richard Lipsey on the release of Looking Back and on a lifetime of impact on family, business, LSU and our Baton Rouge community.

👉 SWIPE to see this guy up close!
And I have to know… what should we build life-size next?! 👇🏻

CLASSIC LSU… but make it EXTRA. 💜💛🐯⚾️

Purple + Gold will forever be iconic—but that doesn’t mean we have to do it the same way every time. 😉

For this LSU Baseball display, we started with the classics and then layered in all the FUN:

💜 Organic purple + gold balloons
✨ Oversized metallic starbursts
🐯 Tiger stripes + our LSU tiger
⚾️ Baseball accents
💡 Light-up GEAUX TIGERS marquee letters
🔗 And those GOLD CHAINS…

But look closer. 👀

Those chains are BALLOONS. 🎈🤯

Every link was individually hand-twisted by our team and connected together to create oversized metallic chains woven throughout the design.

It’s those unexpected details that can take a familiar color palette and make it feel completely NEW.

Because when you’re decorating for LSU, we’re not just thinking, “Where can we put some purple and gold balloons?”

We’re thinking: How do we make people stop, look closer, take the picture and remember the experience?

And this one was definitely giving GEAUX BIG OR GEAUX HOME. 💜💛⚾️🐯

👉 SWIPE for the close-up of those chains!
Then tell me: Did you realize they were balloons before I told you? 👇😂
