Today, The Selah is honored to serve as the first rest stop for the incredible riders participating in Bicycle Rides Northwest!

As you roll into the beautiful Walla Walla Valley, we want to extend a huge welcome to every cyclist, volunteer, and support team member making this journey possible. We know the miles take determination, perseverance, and a whole lot of heart—and we’re excited to be a small part of your adventure today.

Take a moment to stretch, refuel, hydrate, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before continuing on your ride. We hope The Selah provides a refreshing start to a great day on the road.

🌿 Outdoor Celebrations at The Selah 🌿

There is something truly special about saying “I do” beneath the trees, surrounded by fresh air, sunshine, and the beauty of God’s creation.

At The Selah, our outdoor space provided a peaceful and elegant setting for a reverent pause. The natural beauty of the property created a backdrop for this couple that simply could not be replicated indoors.

A few times a year we welcome these meaningful celebrations to take place here at The Selah.

☀️ Monday Morning from The Selah ☀️

It appears our feathered visitor has officially decided The Selah is part of the neighborhood. 😊

A few weeks ago, this wild turkey stayed well out in the distance. Then she started wandering through the property. Now she’s casually strolling right up near the house, enjoying the freshly mowed lawn like she owns the place.

One of our favorite things about life at The Selah is sharing this little corner of the world with God’s creation. Every season seems to bring a new visitor, and watching them grow comfortable enough to linger a little longer never gets old.

Here’s to a peaceful Monday morning, fresh coffee, green grass, and unexpected guests. 🦃🌿☕

☀️ Sunday at The Selah ☀️

As the morning light filters through the trees and makes its way across the grass, we are reminded of the words of Jesus:

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” — Matthew 5:14

May this Sunday be filled with His peace, His presence, and opportunities to let His light shine through your life. Sometimes the brightest witness is found in simple acts of kindness, faithfulness, and love.

With our cottonwood blizzard swirling through the air and this cool breeze reminding us that summer for the Pacific Northwest is not here yet… , we’re finding ourselves reminiscing about one of our favorite Selah traditions… 🎄✨

Christmas at The Selah.

The twinkling lights, the decorated trees, hot chocolate in hand, wagon rides, laughter echoing through the property, children making memories, and friends gathering together under the glow of Christmas lights—it truly felt like something out of a Hallmark movie. ❤️

As the cottonwood snow dances across the fields today, we’re already looking forward to another season of joy, community, and Christmas magic at The Selah.

Until then, we’ll keep dreaming of poinsettias, evergreen garlands, Yuletide Market Row, and all the special moments that made Christmas at The Selah so unforgettable.

We are absolutely in love with these adorable wedding-themed coloring and activity pages for the younger guests! 💍🖍️

🚨 Public Service Announcement from The Selah 🚨

After receiving yet another inquiry, we thought it might be time to let everyone know…

🤪 THE SELAH IS NOT FOR SALE! 🤪

There is currently a “For Sale” sign on Stonecipher Road that is connected to a neighboring property. The Selah’s address is on Clodius Road, and the sign is located quite a distance away from our property.

Since we continue to serve, we wanted to address this publicly so that rumors, assumptions, or misunderstandings don’t begin/continue circulating.

The truth is, we’re still right here.

In fact, we’re pretty well camped out. 😊

Over the years, we have poured countless hours of blood, sweat, tears, prayers, hard work, and resources into The Selah. What started as a dream continues to grow into something much bigger than ourselves—a place for families, celebrations, ministry, memories, and community.

This isn’t just a property to us. It’s a legacy.

So if you’ve heard whispers or wondered yourself, rest easy. The Selah isn’t going anywhere. We have no plans of moving and continue to invest in making this place even more special for years to come.

🌸💐 A New Favorite at The Selah… Flower Bars! 💐🌸

One of the sweetest trends showing up at weddings, showers, birthdays, and special gatherings is the Flower Bar — and we can absolutely see why!

Guests get to create their own mini bouquet, choosing blooms that catch their eye and arranging a little piece of beauty to take home. 🌿🌷✨

It’s part activity, part keepsake, and completely unforgettable.

Can you imagine a Flower Bar tucked beneath the trees at The Selah? Guests strolling through, selecting their favorite flowers, laughter filling the air, and everyone leaving with something beautiful they created themselves.

Some moments simply can't be staged.

You can plan an event.
You can build a petting zoo.
You can bring in the animals.

But you can't manufacture wonder.

This little girl had no idea she was creating one of our favorite memories from Once Upon a Spring. Surrounded by a mama sheep and her lamb, she was completely lost in the joy of the moment.

No posing.
No directions.
No "say cheese."

Just a child experiencing the beauty of creation exactly as it was meant to be.

These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do at The Selah. Not for perfect pictures, but for authentic memories that families will carry with them long after the day is over.

And sometimes those authentic moments become the most beautiful pictures of all. 💛

🐔☀️ Good Morning from the Selah Chickens! ☀️🐔

This morning’s lesson comes straight from the chicken yard…

When one little friend showed up with a snack a granola bar, the girls quickly gathered around to see what was being shared. 😄

At The Selah, we’ve learned that some of life’s sweetest moments are simple:
✨ Fresh morning air
✨ Curious chickens
✨ Little hands
✨ And something good to share

So here’s your morning question…

What snack are you sharing today?
A smile? A kind word? A cup of coffee? A little encouragement?

The Selah chickens highly recommend sharing snacks… although they admit their motives may be slightly selfish. 🤪🐓
