My 2026 events calendar is officially FULL! 🥹🤍

I am so incredibly grateful for every couple, every family, and every client who has trusted GQ Maui Events to be a small part of their special day.

As a Maui girl, being able to do what I love right here at home, helping create beautiful memories for our local families and those who come from near and far to celebrate on our island, truly means so much to me.

Because of all of your love and support, I am officially no longer accepting additional events for 2026. My 2027 calendar still has a few more openings.

Mahalo for trusting me, supporting my small business, referring me to your friends and ʻohana, and allowing me to do what I love❤️

15 years together. 12 years married. 2 kids. And a whole lot of life in between. ❤️

It feels like just yesterday… and somehow, like we’ve lived a thousand lives together. From the young couple we were to the family we’ve become, these years have been filled with laughter, challenges, growth, crazy busy days, and so many moments I wouldn’t trade for anything.

Marriage isn’t always picture perfect, but it’s choosing each other through all of it…the good, the hard, the beautiful, and the downright chaotic 😂

And maybe that’s why I love what I do so much. Every wedding I help create reminds me that love is worth celebrating. I get to witness couples begin their own chapter, while still writing ours together. 💍✨

12 years married, and I’d still choose you❤️
Here’s to our love, our little family, and whatever adventures come next.

The Wedding That Almost Didn’t Happen 🤍🌺🌧️

I’ve been planning weddings for 18 years now and last night was a wedding I will never forget. Not because everything didn’t necessarily go according to the original plan, but because of everything we did to make sure this couple still got the wedding they deserved.

It was 18 months of planning…what started as a beautiful outdoor Maui wedding quickly turned into a race against the clock as the hurricane approached. We watched the weather, made phone calls, contacted venues, worked with vendors, changed timelines, moved the ceremony, secured a backup location, communicated updates, and made decisions that no wedding coordinator ever wants to have to make.

There were moments of uncertainty, stress, and honestly, a lot of “Okay…what do we do now?” 😅

But that’s the part of wedding planning people don’t always see.

Behind the beautiful photos and happy moments are the countless phone calls, problem-solving, backup plans, vendor coordination, timeline changes, and decisions happening behind the scenes to protect the couple’s day.

And somehow, through a hurricane, venue changes, weather warnings, power outage at the end of the reception, and a million moving pieces…we made it happen. ❤️

I’m incredibly grateful for every vendor who worked with us, every person who answered a phone call, every venue that helped us find solutions, and most importantly, for this amazing couple who trusted me through all of it.

It wasn’t the wedding we originally planned.

It was better in a different way.

It was a reminder that weddings aren’t about everything going perfectly. They’re about celebrating love, even when the plans have to change.

And as a wedding coordinator, I couldn’t be more proud to say:

Last night was one for the books. 🤍✨

Even with the uncertainty of the storm and Hurricane Keli approaching Hawaiʻi, we were determined to make this beautiful couple’s wedding day happen and it was absolutely worth it.

There were a few last-minute changes, like venues, hotels, transportation, crucial decision-making. As you can imagine, lots of moving pieces, and plenty happening behind the scenes, but at the end of the day, what mattered most was celebrating love, family, and this incredible couple.

So grateful for the amazing vendors and the couples family & friends who came together, adapted, and made it all work. This is what the Maui wedding community is all about. 🤙🏽

Meet my first ever wedding clients I booked. I was 21 years old and working part time in the wedding office at Royal Lahaina in 2009. Kathy and Ryan walked in asking to view our wedding venues. I had only done a small handful of weddings at this point. Still so fresh in the industry but confident, I took them out for a walk to their dream wedding. (Side note: I booked Joshua Kahula Music as their ceremony musician and he just so happened to be playing at The Branches Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows during their visit) Who knew that walk would bloom into a beautiful friendship over next the 17 years. Now they’re back on Maui (since their last visit in 2015) with their family that also grew. They were a huge part of my career and I’m so grateful for their friendship and their Ohana ❤️. I’m so blessed to have chosen love as my career 🥰
