🤦‍♀️Just before the government shutdown began, I filed my change of address form with the IRS. They sent the confirmation letter to my OLD address. It took weeks for me to finally receive the letter, just to be sickened when I discovered it had zero mention of my new address on it all.
As the shutdown drags on, I'm at a standstill. I can't get the documentation I need showing my new address, therefore can't proceed with the process of getting everything set up and fully operational. I was hoping to offer full services to my new Quay County neighbors just in time to help with the holidays.... but at this point I will only be able to offer 1/10 of my regular services and very limited payment options. 🤷‍♀️

Filed a change of address form with the IRS, dummies sent the confirmation letter to my OLD address... and of course the new address is not on it anywhere.... and it's part of the shut down.

PayPal is still being incredibly uncooperative too... at this point I'm not just not sure accepting PayPal payments is worth the hassle.

The law says I can use my name or my business name, but Paypal insists on ignoring the paperwork from the IRS and says it has to match my drivers license.
They're now threatening to close my account unless I switch to something that will allow them to take 3.49%+ $0.49 from every paycheck from every client that refuses to offer an alternative (like a lot of Sassie companies).
Every company should be required to offer direct deposit to ICs. Or at least be willing to use a company that's less dumb... like Bill.

I think it's time to raise the bar. I'm not doing business with sh*tty people anymore. I'm done with it.

From now on, if I see anything that looks like it's in support of that traitor that is facing 91 felony charges, I'm ripping up the contract. You're fired. I don't work for people that are anti-democracy.

My phone decided to become a paperweight. I will be unable to accept credit cards until I receive a replacement next Friday. Receipts will be done the old-fashioned way... pen, paper, and calculator.
