Good afternoon,

I hope everyone is well.

As many of you know, we have been using The Performing Arts Community Center on a temporary basis and would be deciding on where to meet going forward (The Performing Arts Community Center or The South Waco Community Center).

After discussing this with The Performing Arts Community Center, it was decided that we will be returning to The South Waco Community Center starting in January.

Also, we will not be having our January event on the first Saturday (January 3rd) as we normally do because we determined that it was too close to New Year's. Instead, January's event will take place on the second Saturday (January 10th).

I know this will be an inconvenience to those who attend our event and Stardust (also on January 10th) each month and I apologize for that. We did attempt to schedule the event on January 17th but it was already booked.

If you have any questions or comments about the two announcements above or anything else, please feel free to contact me.

Good evening,

Around the time Sul Ross was closed, I was informed that the City of Waco would be reviewing their facility fees and implementing any changes in October.

Because I didn't know what the new fee would be and I was not certain when I would know, I wanted to ensure we would have a place to meet just in case, so I took this as an opportunity to look into other possible venues.

I found that the interested venues charge more than what we pay to the city, but one venue was willing to have us for a 3-month trial period at the price we currently pay. This venue is called the Performing Arts Community Center. So, from October to December our events will be held there.

If it is decided by either side that the arrangement doesn't work, the plan is to be back in the South Waco Community Center in January. I recently found out that they did increase their fee slightly, and they are willing to have us should we decide to return.

I will send a reminder along with any changes you need to be aware of when I send the monthly event invitation.
