TINA TALKS THURSDAY 🍸

Let’s talk about tipping.

Over the years, it feels like tipping culture has shifted quite a bit. Everywhere we go, we’re presented with a tip screen, a suggested gratuity, or an expectation to leave something extra.

Because of that, I’ve intentionally structured my service rates so that my staff and I are paid fairly for our time, effort, and expertise before a single tip is ever received.

Do we appreciate tips? Absolutely.

But I never want my team to feel like an event was only “worth it” because guests tipped well.

To me, gratuity should be exactly what it was always intended to be: a thank you for exceptional service—not an obligation.

That’s the standard I strive for when building my team and pricing my services.
