Hi! My name is Maria (but I prefer to be called Lupe 😉), creator of where I create unique balloon gifts and decorations. Welcome to this space where you’ll mainly see my work but also the behind the scenes of what it takes to have a small home based business. I started this business during the lockdown everyone experienced in 2020 and is named after my only daughter. I am a wife and mother to 5 amazing children.
Prior to Alyssa’s House of Balloons, I worked as a math tutor at a local community college where I received an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Math and Science. I was working really hard to become a math teacher but had to stop when I became pregnant with my last child due to health complications. Soon after I was able to heal and somewhat adjust to our new family changes, I had a strong need to start this balloon business in which I had first envisioned since my oldest son was a year old.

I really hope that you enjoy my work and appreciate all the support you continuously give me!
